Feels like prehistoric
The first time I heard about Steemit was in the beginning of July when my cousin @noisy send me link to it on Facebook. He told me it will be great for writing blog and earn real money for that. I was thinking - yeah, right, who would pay me for blogging? Not a chance, another scam. So I just ignored it.The next day he phoned me and explained in simple words how this is working and he was using terms like "next social media" or "better than Facebook". He was and still is super enthusiastic about whole Steemit idea so I then thought - ok, I will give it a try. I saw his article and I couldn't believe the numbers below it - 4.000 dollars! What the...?
How it started
I still didn't believe. You know - numbers are just numbers. You can write anything you want. @noisy was inviting a lot of people from Poland and most of them didn't believe in whole Steemit idea (just like me) so he created an article with withdrawing money only to proof his point. Recently I have found out he transfered it all back into Steem to power up all of his earned money. Did I already tell you he is super enthusiastic about Steemit? So I have tried to create articles, some of them were average, some of them were not so good. Finally I have earned some money. So after next talk with my cousin I decided to withdraw only half of my SteemDollars and the other half invest in Steemit by doing power up.
Power up?
Most of you will tell - hey, you have powered up like $110 SBD and your upvote is not even worth $0.01 - what's the big deal? Well, it's a big deal for me. I could just withdraw it all, but because I have started to believing in Steemit I decided to invest at least half of my earned money into this platform. It's not much but it's my work.My Steem Power after power up looks like that:

Next level?
I decided to introduce my wife into Steemit. She is doing great handmade gifts and all sorts of other works. For now I'm writing her articles in English under tag kambrysia-en based on her Polish versions which are used later on @kambrysia as texts for Facebook page.I hope Steemit community will love her works just like I do and maybe in future I will convince her to power up some of her earings.
Steemon!!!
