Video Game charity Special Effect have travelled to Wembley Stadium today to reveal they now have their very own football kit in FIFA 18 Ultimate Team.
Players can earn the in-game kit by completing a new weekly FUT challenge. On top of that, a very limited number of the jerseys have been made in real life and will soon be auctioned off by the charity.
Special Effect were founded in 2007 and bring joy to people with physical disabilities by using specific technology to help them play video games.
They visit people up and down the country to figure out what tech is needed to help these gamers play the games they want to play. They then customise or create equipment specific to that person's needs and lend it to them. All of this is done free of charge.
Special Effect say that not only are they bringing joy to many lives but they are also: 'bringing families and friends together and having a profoundly positive impact on therapy, confidence and rehabilitation.'
To promote awareness, EA Sports have created a kit for Special Effect that is available from 10 November - 17 November. Special Effect have spent the day at Wembley Stadium and will before the England vs Germany game promoting the kit's launch.
It isn't the first time EA Sports have had a charity kit in Ultimate Team as they had a Movember kit a few years ago.
The event today saw many notable guests including Mark Fosbrook of Team GB's Men's Basketball team and George Dowell, a former football player retired early after becoming paralysed in a car crash and then used his compensation money to buy the club he played for, Worthing FC.
They and other guests attempted to play FIFA 18 using their chins and eyes, just a few of the many ways Special Effect help gamers.
An extremely limited number of the kits have been made and will soon be auctioned off by Special Effect to help support their amazing work.
