Hi @calamus056
while I don't know a thing about how cryptocurrency works, I'm willing to learn in bite sized pieces. When bitcoin came around, I had absolutely no idea what or how it worked. How does one put valuation on it? It seemed risky and way too foreign. Now, I'm just trying to go with the flow and see where it takes me. Personally, I simply love writing and want to find a forum for the greatest audience possible. Money - as much as I like it (and need it) will hopefully follow.

If you want to learn about cryptocurrencies, google is your friend :)
If you want to invest in Cryptocurrencies, make sure you understand the process of securing your investment in cold-storage extremely well.
If you want to make money with writing, just make a free SteemIt account with your Facebook or Reddit account and you can start earning right away, risk free!
Oh yes, google is definitely my friend for A LOT of things.
Sadly, I don't have the extra funds to invest in anything and I'm sure I'll be peeping in on the wealth of information from a few people I'm following - yourself included!
As for the writing thing - well... I'm here. I'm writing and I enjoy watching the pennies. It's better than goose eggs, right? I'm guessing that Steemit, though monetized, really wants to focus on building community as well - which is why you'll never see me only reply "nice post" EVER. :)
