I feel ya. It's challenging putting forth good, quality content. You spend anywhere from 30 minutes to hours... days or even weeks putting a quality post together, just to get lost in the shuffle.
I think the key element behind this proposal is it puts the power back onto the reader to decide how they'd like to spend their time on Steemit. They won't have to speed read and speed vote if they don't feel like it.
It won't solve ALL the issues we have but, it certainly couldn't hurt.
