It's interesting that you posted this. I'm on the job search for a career in Journalism, content creation, etc. and I was just thinking to myself that I could build a pretty decent portfolio with credible results on Steemit. I mean, what better way to prove your writing ability than by showing the amount of traffic you have on each post?

I think steemit can already serve as a good platform for a portfolio, but upvotes (traffic) aren't a good metric at the moment because it's not clear whether people are upvoting because the content is good, because of self-interest (curation rewards), or bots (including the bot by steemd, a whale).
