When reading on Steem I find a lot of pages, none of which are even worth reading – and are clearly put their only for money, rather than the fact that they actually contain worthwhile information. For instance the politics section is clogged full of people who buy a lot of Steem power and then come up with all these conspiracy theories, which clog up the site. It's stupid and needs to stop. Why?

  1. Steem is designed to give users some of it's profits (basically it wants to be decent), but we're running a "all animals are equal, but some are more equal that others system" – allowing users to buy steem power shows a flawed ideology and needs to stop, unless we want this to become Facebook++
  2. Money should come second on Steem, the whole point of a blogging platform is that you blog when you have something to say (not when you need to make money)

And another point – can steemit add language tagging for posts, and filter content accordingly (unless users can be allowed to opt out). 

I would say happy new year, but...
