This is the third issue of The Daily Steem! Its all about what's been happening at Steemit, a rundown of the big accounts, the trading activity, hot posts, and anything else I can think to add at the time. I'm looking to improve this report by adding more data etc...but it really depends what people want to see, so if you enjoy it please give me feedback ( @moneybags ) on how to improve it.

Happy 4th of July for those of you who celebrate it.

Before I go any further, I would like to thank those who supported the second issue of The Daily Steem, @ayusor @whatsup @ender @razorwave8 @td4me80 @eric818 @whatisnew @alexthemagician @inber @grapthar @masteryoda @monogrande @deirdyweirdy @arvictpacheco @steemitboard @dowithlove @isacoin @rdickey . One day I will repay the support in spades, but until then all I have to offer is new versions of the publication. Cheers to you all

I've been away for a few days but have returned refreshed, and with new ideas. I'm going to try and start adding some daily headlines from the crypto world in the past 24 hours that I have found interesting. There are some good ones today:

Today's Top Headlines:

1. Goldman Sachs thinks Bitcoin could move to $4,000. This is probably the biggest breaking bitcoin story this week, the bank is adding to some weight to the argument that the bitcoin rally is not over, in fact we still have a long way to go. The piece is written by a technical based analyst who is looking for a sizeable drop before a big rally, the so called fifth wave.

2. Elite New Yorkers Paying Tuition in Bitcoin. According to an article written on the bitcoinist.com website there are at least 10 families looking to pay tuition at a montessori school with crypto. The school accepts crypto in the form of BTC/ETH/LTC with most of the people using it being some of the ones to profit from earlier waves of the crypto rush. The more mainstream uses for crypto the better.

3. Indian Kidnappers Demand Bitcoin for Ransom. In an article in the cryptocoinsnews.com website indicated a kidnapper demanded 20 bitcoins for ransom after holding a victim for six days. It's currently not known if the ransom was paid or not. It highlights one of the more dangerous sides of crypto, there is a dark underbelly, and people need to be careful.

STEEM/BTC Market Performance Over the Past 24 Hours

Steem has not been doing well over the past 24 hours, but no fears, this is simply a buying opportunity. Or do you have a different view?

Todays Top Authors

The top earner was @officialfuzzy with 312 SP, not bad for a days work. We had seven Steemians earn over 200 SP over the past 24 hours by authoring content. If you know of an author who didn't earn anything close to this amount, but think they should have, then please link to their blog below and we'll consider adding a top list for the next edition of The Daily Steem.

Todays Top Curators

Posting blogs isn't the only way to strike it rich, these content curators took home some massive rewards as well, especially @abit who has taken the lead spot for the second day in a row, this buy is a whale! You'll need a large account to score well in curation rewards though, as whales beget whales here.

What Activities Generate the Most Steem?

Well hands down the answer is authorship, writing blogs is key if you want to grow in the community, but on top of just publishing content, you also need to grow your own power, network, and community in order to have people help curate your posts towards the Hot and Trending areas where most of the magic happens. So keep on blogging, even if you aren't getting traction, you will, hang in there!2.png

The 25 Richest Whales

Only four of the top 25 richest whales are currently powering down which is down from seven at the end of last week, a good sign for Steemians. The poorest of these whales still has an account valued at $1. 6 million, must be nice! And six of them are powering down, no judgement.

Great info. Must be nice to be an "Orca" whale. Wow. Speaking as a "low end"dolphin". Can't wait to get there , but enjoying the journey which is the real fun in the anticipation of greatness. GO Steemit.
