Okay how about cases of the value of dollars on your post dropping before you cash out say from 5.36 to 4.09
Upvote values and rewards are dependent on the prices of SBD and Steem with respect to USD. That accounts for that. At times you could have surprisingly higher rewards too: say, you were voted $3.02 (3 votes) and the next morning you see $4.3 (3 votes). Other times the reverse, as you mentioned, could be the case.
