6 Things To Prove You Are A Lazy Steemit Blogger

in #steemit6 years ago (edited)

How long have you been blogging here in steemit? Do you think you are being a bit lazy or you have started developing boredom in blogging? In this blog post I'll try to point out some things that may show that you arebeing lazy here in Steemit.

Blogging is something that is very interesting at the beginning (Believe me it was really interesting for me and I loved it, I still do). The blogging seem to be very interesting and glamarous if you are not a blogger, but you have to be a passionate blogger to realise how hard it is to exist in "blogosphere".

You must have realised that you start developing bad habits in your work when you start being too familiar with it. And by the bad habit here, I mean to say being lazy. There may be chance that you have been blogging for a while and have started being lazy in it. You may not even realise that you are growing lazy. So this post is intended to help you self realise that you are developing laziness and you need to eradicate this laziness from you. Here are 5 points that may prove you being lazy in Steemit blogging.

1. No Pre-Plan for A Blog Post

Do you plan for what to post the next day on steemit? Are you always hunting for a topic to write a post? I think every blog post you write on steemit or any blog should be well planned and organised. If you are posting in the same titles that are doing good actually in terms of earnings and loved by audience here in steemit, then believe me you're too lazy to sustain in steemit.

2. No Regularity

If you are an active blogger then I believe you should be posting consistently on your blog. But don't misunderstand this with publishing a lot if stuff in a week and remaining underground for the next month.

I suggest you to make a schedule to publish an article in steemit by yourself and trying to stick with the schedule in a week. Give other users a reason to revisit your blog and that way you will get a lot of interaction in your blog and may be some great upvotes as well.

3. Images for your blog post

How you find images for your blog post? Most of us may be using the using the images directly from google searches. Or many of us may not be even using any images on our blog post. Believe me you are a real lazy a lad in blogosphere.

Images are what add beauty to the blog post and even increase the audience engagement on your posts. So if you are not using relevant images or not any images in your post then you are a lazy blogger alive. And if you are using images directly from google search then you may even get into trouble for using copyrighted stuff.

See the post below on how to get the copyright free images for your blog post.

4. Using Random Titles

Titles are the first impressions of your blog. If you have a well crafted post but a very poor title then your post may even go unnoticed from the community. If you are using any random titles for your blog post, then you don't seem to be a serious blogger.

Use catchy and relevant titles for yoyr blog post and make sure you even use emotional words for your blog post title.

5. No Proofreading

How many times do you read your article before publishing? This is the thing ignored by most of the bloggers. Read your article when you think it is ready to be published and make sure you make the corrections of every mistakes in your post. It will help you write a post free from grammatical errors and other mistakes on your blog post.

6. Using Random Tags

Tags are the categories on steemit. You are meant to choose the tags relevant to your article. But do you choose the random high earning tags irrespective of the topic of your post? How lazy can you be steemian. I don't think it'll be relevant to put "cryptocurrency" tag in a food photography post. So choose the tags wisely and relevant to your article.

If you are doing any one of these in blogging and if you are doing all these then believe me you are taking your laziness to whole new level. What are other lazy activities that you think are adopted by steemit bloggers? Please let me know in the comments below.

Thank you so much for your time to check this post.

Interesting post. As for the images, I just use Flickr and filter out only the creative commons images. I also absolutely hate finding typos in my comments and blog posts hours after posting them.

That's great! I use Unsplash for royalty free images. That means you haven't grown lazy in steemit. Afterall it is a great platform.
Thank you for your reply btw! Keep steeming!

Unsplash is a very rich repository, thanks for the tip!
I'm pretty lazy but I think my main problem is simply start, probably because I don't want to make mistakes... any suggestion?

Well first thing to start simple, make sure you are consistently publishing articles and that too original and well managed. Remember steemit is not just about rewards.
To keep yourself motivated see the article below by myself

I don't know if it's lazy or just spontaneous but I like to blog 'in the moment' when I have something to say rather than plan ahead. I do plan ahead on my business blog but that's to attract business consumers rather than just to talk about something that's important to me.

Well that's great then. All that is needed is to come with an organised post and that's all that matters.
Thank you for your reply.

Great information, i just read this article youve written after clicking on your reply to the happiness post earlier. I read it and i hope im the opposite, ive just started blogging on here maybe if you have the time could you give me your opinion on my third blog on steemit 😊

Thank you in advance 😊

You have a spelling mistake 'yoyr' in the paragraph above 'Proof Reading'
"Use catchy and relevant titles for yoyr blog post and make sure you even use emotional words for your blog post title."

Really helpful article, thanks so much!

Lol thank you so much for pointing out the mistake. See this post is based on my real experience and you could point out for sure how lazy I am. 😛

Haha, No, I didn't think you were lazy at all... no matter how many times I proofread, there is always at least one that slips through. So I get someone else to read when available.

That is a great way to find mistakes. Thank you for the tip!
Happy steeming !

i do all of it except one. I have no regularity. It has been almost 7 days since my last post was up. I want to post regularly but all i get is few seconds to type some comments on this platform. Post take up some 2 hours to write which i don't have right now.

Well you can write the articles whenever free and use @busy.org to save your completed articles and publish them whenever you are free. I think thay way you can show your regularity in steemit.

After reading your list, I don't feel that lazy after all. Thing is, I didn't see anything about length of post... the "amount" of the content.

For me as a visual artist, of course my content is my art which I like to share here. Sometimes I add a very short description, i.e. when I post to Bescouted.com other times I write a (background) story or info on how I did something. I don't always get the feeling, that a lot of people take the time to read it. There is no evidence, that the artwork with text is better received than the one without. Nevertheless, I would feel lazy, if I gave up on adding a longer text at least half the time...

Excellent post by the way. I really enjoyed reading it!

Thank you so much for your time to check this article and leaving a comment.
Followed you and ready to see your art works.

"Unorganized" and "lazy" are two different things, and one of them is highly problematic and ableist.

I have two weakness: proofreading and titles. Sometimes, the most difficult to find a good title.

Well choosing a title is a pretty tedious job too. Try using emotional words or numbers on your titles wherever appropriate. I think that can do good.

This is really nice, well detailed and articulated for easy understanding!

Thank you so much. I'm glad you liked it.

It's good to evaluate where you are in your blog and this is about the perfect criteria. I haven't become lazy yet and I hope I won't be any time soon.

Well i think it is. And i think realising that you have been lazy and trying to improve it would do great as well.
I admit I am lazy and I'll improve.
Thank you for stopping by!

Thanks, @neupanedipen, for this post. I can so see myself in a few of them. I started blogging on steemit only 2,5 weeks ago and I need to be more organised with my posts. I see it.

I would suggest you to be consistent and original in your works. I hope you'll do great in steemit.

Makes a lot of sense. I try to put a lot of thought and brainstorming before and when I am writing a new post, to ensure that when someone reads it, it can have them wanting to read all the way to the end. You gotta pretend you are the reader and how would you like a blog to be read. I am fighting actively always against my laziness because I hate laziness cause of what it did to me in the past. :) Great post and upvoted!

Thank you so much.

You gotta pretend you are the reader and how would you like a blog to be read.

That's the spirit of blogging.

Yeah man, glad it helped! Feel free to check my blog posts if you find anything interesting.^^

Thank you! I'll check your posts for sure. :)

Cool! Hope you find something there that you enjoy reading! :)

Great tips! You definitely should not be lazy when it comes to Steemit. Not if you really want to increase your engagement and earnings. I need to be better about pre-planning my content. I do have a list of ideas to pull from but I don’t really know what I’m going to write about until I sit down and look over my list.

Well that's great. Writing down the topic in your notepad or anywhere whenever an idea pops in your head and planning for the post later on would help bloggers to come with an exceptional content.
Thank you so much for your comment!

Great information, I can categorically say that lots of people here are victims of this.
Vast majority of people here are on steemit because of the monetary reward without know fully that blogging has to do with passion and hard and at such with the reward ain't forth coming they become some what lazy.
Every steemain should have a consistent schedule and apart from this post quality content
Although as for the images I use Google anyways

Very well said and I could agree to everything you said.
Well for images you can use royalty free images site as well.

Great post. I do all of the things you mention. So I'm not a lazy blogger. I am getting into a consistent habit of writing two articles every day so I can post the next day. I have my own strategies for getting ideas for the posts, but I never wing it. Doing things consistently and putting some effort in will get great results!

That's great. Well whenver you have time write your article and save it in drafts and publish them in a regular manner.
Steemit has a lot to bring to all of us. We just have to be active to achieve them.

That´s a good guide to make things right. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you! Glad you liked it.

Good advise. Thank you.

Thank you! Glad you liked it.
Happy steeming!

Namaste!!! haha, thanks for reminders. :)

Thank you! Happy steeming!

good advice there, my dear. I have to have inspiration otherwise I end up putting photo posts only.

I myself have been too lazy and post only image posts. Gather some inspiration and post some worhty articles as well.
Happy steeming!

This could be easily extrapolated to a lot of the things that we do in life and not just on Steemit (although many people are making it a big part of their lives). Great advice and could definitely be useful for the #newbieresteemday crowd to have a look at :)

Well that's true. I am sorry but don't know what #newbieresteemday is. Could you please enlighten me?

If you go look at the @newbieresteemday account, it is basically a community that supports all the 'newbies' on steemit by creating activities and initiatives that promote and support the people on steemit that are working hard to improve their profiles. The latest initiative is @newbiegames, where we try to provide incentives for people to participate and create games for people to play.

Well will adding the tag 'newbieresteemday' now help in sharing this post to the community.

Thank you for this information

Hahaha. I found out that I'm a lazy in terms of Images haha.

I can't edit that's why I use google images with their own source. ^_^

Majority have a problem with finding royalty free images. You can use unsplash or see the article mentioned above to create a banner type images for your post.
But if you are using the image from google with image source then I think that would be fine.
