the most anticipated phone for everyone across the globe it seems is none other than Iphone 7. people are eagerly waiting for the cupertino based company to launch the new generation of Iphone and its variants. Apple is expected to Iphone 7 at its now traditional september event, and as we approach the date, more pieces of the Iphone puzzle being fleshed out.
though Iphone 7 might not bring major design modification, there are some changes that are worth a mention. we have compiled all the rumours and leaks that have surfaced as of now, and give you list of all that can be seen in the new phone to come.
THREE VARIANTS
in september 13, Apple released 2 iPhones for the first time, iPhone 5s and 5c. Next year Apple ditched its 4-inch size completely, and released two new smartphones in different sizes, the 4.7- inch iPhone 6 and 5.5- Inch iPhone 6 plus. Last year, apple Released iPhone 6s and Iphone 6s plus with software upgrades. though, Apple is reportedly taking it a step further and is tied to launch three variants namely iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and the iPhone 7 Pro/Plus/ Premium.
TWO VARIANTS ONLY, IN FACT
32GB Base Storage Variant
Apple is rumoured to finally do away with the 16GB base storage variant, and replace it with 32GB option. Apple first launched the 16GB variant in 2008 and remained as the base model ever since the iPhone 5 in 2012. with the rise in the number of apps, 4K video recording capability, the shift to a 32GB base variant makes more sense in many ways.
256GB Top Storage Variant
after ditching 16GB storage apple is planning to up the storage on the top model - taking it upto 256GB. with iPhone series never adopting the option of support for a microSD card, this bump up in the storage should help power users get the most out of their iOS powered mobile. however, it can’t be confirmed at present wether top storage variant would be extended to smaller screen iPhone 7. A new report tips that the iPhone 7 will be available in 32GB, 64GB and 256 GB Variants, while the iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7 pro will be available in 32, 128, and 256GB variants.
Antenna Bands
The Antenna bands that we used to see at the back may disappear, making iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 plus sleeker having a simple mono- coloured back design. the bands might get shifted to the top and bottom edges instead. Latest rear panel leak again confirmed this point.
Smart Connector
some reports claim that the new iPhone 7 would include smart connector which was first introduced in iPad pro. lets see if apple goes with this option with its new launch.
3.5mm headphone jack
this is the most debated point with the tech world wether apple would stay with the traditional 3.5 mm headphone jack or would put up a new design and club the charger and the headphone jack.
Dual Camera
apple may stick to single camera lens in iPhone 7, but may go with the dual camera setup in larger iPhone 7plus. it remains to be seen what difference dual camera would bring to the pictures, from better low light performance to improved colour accuracy and faster autofocus.
Crimson Red, Deep Blue or Space Black Colour variant
Apple is reportedly looking to introduce crimson Red colour variant with iPhone 7, reports also states that Deep Blue colour variant is also in the pipeline and dramatically discontinue the popular space Grey colour variant. and might be replaced with space Black colour variant.
3GB of RAM
To control the traffic from dual camera setup, the iPhone 7 plus will increase its RAM size to 3GB.
Speakers
few images leaked shows speaker grilles on both the sides of the lightning port hinting that the iPhone 7 might come with stereo speakers.
Optical Image Stabilisation
the iPhone 7 plus is slated to sport a dual camera setup, both iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus variants are tipped to come up with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS).
Force Touch Home Button
Apple is tipped to use its Force Touch Technology on phone 7’s home button. Some reports claim that Apple is Redesigning the physical Home Button to replace it with one that sits fish with the body, and provide haptic feedback.
Larger Battery
A recently leaked shows that iPhone 7 will feature a 1960mAh battery- a good upgrade over the phones, which has 1715mAh battery.
Apple A10 SoC
Apple with each generation of the iPhone launches a new custom designed SoC, and continuing the trend Iphone 7 is expected to be equipped with A10 SoC . which has shown 18 percent higher than the Apple A9 processor seen on the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s plus.
