Day 7 of my 'give 1SBD a day away for a week' plus recap of the weeks choices and conclusion

in #steemit9 years ago (edited)

well this is my final day of this project and i believe it has been a success in inspiring others. more steemit ideas coming soon!

I'm a bit late with this final post, My duck was attacked by 2 Rats so my time has been taken up looking after her and making her pen more secure. She's ok, and healing well (1 bite on her back) . I will post an update about her tomorrow. Also ive been a bit under the weather myself.

My choice for 20/10/2016

As a minnow my vote only pays 1cent sometimes, so as part of my 'give 1SBD a day away for a week'
i am giving 1SBD to @ipumba for this photograph. nice composition and mood. beautiful image.

My main aim for this project was to make people more aware of how important it is to curate, and also the fact that i cant give revenue with my vote.

Ive learnt a lot doing this for a week, firstly its not as easy as you'd think, spending hrs trawling through posts, especialy when the system makes it hard to see old posts.

Also it made me realise how important it is to curate. i think most people like myself spend the majority of time posting for one's own revenue instead of curating.

I think this issue could be helped if minnows had some voting weight. I think even the lowest SP holder should be able to give some revenue with their vote. it would give them more incentive to curate and surely we need more curators?

Im not going to continue with the 'give 1SBD a day away, but i will be doing other things for steemit. I have a few other steemit related projects/ideas i want to try for the community. ive recently bought some domain names and webspace so for the near future i am going to try and get those running.
I recently set up http://howtosteemit.com , simple instructions on how to steemit. its listed in the steem app centre :-)
Its still in its early test stages but i will be updating soon.
https://steemit.com/steemit/@pcste/new-website-www-howtosteemit-com-simple-newbie-instructions-first-test-stage-please-give-feedback

Anyway , after my experiment i will still continue to curate more than i have. and if i see a post which has been overlooked and really deserves some revenue i will donate something, just to give that user a lift in their day.
So they don't get too dis-heartened and lose confidence in steemit.
Maybe others could do similar until the curating issue gets better.

I know i haven't given much in terms of revenue, but then again i don't have much lol. but Like i said in my first post "big trees come from small acorns." and i hope this project has inspired others to come up with ideas too.

peace and love steemers :-)

Cool project, and your website is pretty neat.

Thanks :-)

For some reason, steemit didn't notify about your comment on my photo. I ran across it by accident. I just want to say thank you so much! I really appreciate it!!!!!!!!!

@pcste Your the best! 100% Upvote from me for life, keep doing this! Many Steemians will appreciate this!

Thank you :-)

Get well soon Vic the duck, she is in good hands x

Thanks @janjan . She seems fine, just keeping an eye on her incase of any infection.
