It will be interesting to see what difference hf20 makes. As I understand it there will be a settling in period whilst the algorithm decides how to cost various transactions. What we don't want is more spam. Steem on

Sure... I'm also looking forward to see how HF20 will impact the usage of Steem. Especially the way new accounts are created. We'll see in the coming days and weeks...

I think the account creation will take a few weeks to get a decent picture of how it will work.

Yeah, probably. Steemit Inc. currently does a manual review of every new account that is created through steemit.com. Hopefully new users can sign up instantly after HF20, so they can start using Steemit.com without waiting for a week before their account is approved. I'm not sure if if Steemit Inc. stops checking each account immediately after HF20.

I think they will eventually push the responsibility and options to the dapps as it will be them who will largely have to deal with spammers etc as Steemit.com loses favour over other interfaces and platforms
