2018 is the year for the STEEM blockchain
Oh my God! Power up 500.000 Steem to be able to create these accounts... what if in the next few days 100k new users join Steemit at this price of Steem it will be a hudge effort!
The next hardfork (HF20) is set to solve that problem.
Very interesting stats. Will take sometime to digest everything, but the sudden surge in number of accounts on single day suggests the sudden jump in new accounts is linked to the rise in the value of Steem. That's very encouraging development. :D

how do you predict the price of steam and sbd
Based on adoption. Why is Bitcoin so high in price? Finite supply, high demand. While the supply of STEEM and SBD is a lot higher than Bitcoin, the adoption curve, as you can see from the number of new users joining, plus the amount of interactions with the platform (upvotes, posts, comments, etc.) and the underlying technology behind it, the STEEM blockchain, which currently has the most transactions per day than any other blockchain (like Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.) and also the scalability of it, and the roll-out of Smart Media Tokens (basically monetizing other media platforms) and the ability to create ICOs (new tokens) on the STEEM blockchain (example Vice ICO for adult media) is what brings value to STEEM. The community, and the rewards that people gain (the money they make) is also the fundamental aspect that fuels the STEEM ecosystem and economy.
Steemit.com was just the first step, as a blogging platform. We now have DTube (video) DSound (music) and DLive (live streaming) platforms all created on the STEEM blockchain. Who knows what's next? The only thing we're certain about is the scalability and the mass-adoption of the STEEM blockchain through all these media channels.
So why is Steemit still in Beta ?
They are using the Google tactic of "perpetual beta" so that they are not liable for any issues that might popup which will enable them to iterate quickly and more often :P

That's what we have been expecting, we need more of this good news. Competition starts......lets all embrace the new comers by showing them that we steemians are the best, we do not wish bad for other, we help people grow. Steemit is for the generous minds. It's an unbelievable increase in a number of new steemains yesterday. I am proud here to be a part of the day by day highly growing community and I wish every new steemians to understand the overall community benefits in a proper way and do active here for the community growth.

I think a lot of posts in Steemit on 3 January. there are over 8 thousand more new accounts born in Steemit, a very large number. Moreover, the influence of STEEM prices and the start of the famous Steemit so more attraction.
