One of the biggest struggles of making a new Steemit account is getting followers and votes. There are many methods people will tell you such as upvoting, and leaving meaningful comments on posts. These methods do work, but aren't necessarily the best ways to get a lot of followers or votes. A good way I found to gain followers is simply to follow many people yourself, in hopes you will get some back. Now that is a lot more effective than upvoting, and commenting, but doesnt guarantee that you will get the amount of followers that you followed in the first place.
