Yea, trying different topics at the beginning can help find out how one can move on and what the way ahead may look like. But once the path is shaped, perhaps, it is time to get niche. :-)

    My areas of interest are REAAAALLY various, that's why I suggested to space between them if you have more than one focus.
    My personal Niche is Magic the Gathering and LEGO!
