When the payouts are poor, my earnest advice to fellow minnows is that we should only consider it to be a 'minor challenge' like my papa would always say.
It is no longer news that steemit is real and readily adding value plus changing the lives of loyal steemians positively, unlike HIV which apparently, is real but not showing on the forehead. lol...
However, as a minnow with relatively little or no sway compared to most steemit users (the whales and the dolphins), the journey may seem to be backbreaking. Having spent quality time to create quality content only for a scattering number of people to read. (frustrating right?) But would you rather let your struggle become your identity?
Oh i thought you knew better ( haha..kidding),but hey! Steemit is a beautiful struggle just as life itself and my dad has always taught me "the harder the struggle the more glorious the triumph".
Fortunately, the community has shown me tremendous support through a couple of good people since i hit town. Permit me to give a shout out to these nice people who have made out time to show me around and also support the best way they can. Thanks to @reggaemuffin (please vote him as witness and you won't regret. If you don't know what a witness is, read here ), @bania @misterakpan @forjayfortune @oluwoleolaide @ehiboss @destinysaid along with others whose names may not be included here but steady at the base of my heart. These are good people i met on here who have treated me nicely one way or the other, thus, making my journey so far quite interesting. I really appreciate you guys as well as the rest of the steemit community.
Nonetheless, what i do to avoid being discouraged is to peruse through the works of other talented authors where i learn a lot of good new stuff, the very essence of my being here.
Reading is my best companion as i'm not that very social media person. As a matter of fact i learn a lot of things by curating posts written by many gifted people on steemit than i'd ever learn elsewhere.
To all minnows and newbies/rookies; you have found a lost treasure on Steemit, your very first few months are your searching days; never get too overzealous or get easily discouraged in your few weeks or months after you joined and bail out. Because you just might loose that very bounty if you give up.
