Ok, i understand that this platform rewards us for creating good content and contributing to the community, but som people are using different cheatng tactics to gain followers and make money here.
Something should be done about that @ned
When i created my account here on steemit i got 0.0001 SBD from someone named @bottymcbotface and there was memo attached to it.
I first thought that this was very generous of him/her because i didnt know what was going on. Then i learned about this website and opened his wallet to see this.
And this list goes on and on. This guys is literally sending SBD to newbies here in order to attract them and make them follow him, which is really bad and should be banned from this coummunity.
I also saw a post from @gyanibilli about

People are following everyone on the community using some bot and when newbe sees that somebody followed them, a lot of them follow back and after some days they use bots to unfollow everyone.
These things are really pissing me off and i think something should be done for it.

Users should be allowed to follow anyone they want. If you receive 0.001 SBD and decide to follow the bot it is your own choice. So it will be hard to stop that IMO. But I agree with you, I want to follow great accounts which are producing great content!
Unfortunately a lot of 'noobies' (accounts new to Steemit) are trying all manner of things to get ahead of the game fast, what they need to remember is that the big fish have been here a long time, and it takes time to get big, not to expect it in a week or even a month.
Many are even transferring small amounts and asking for follow or upvote, this wont work and they are more than likely wasting their STEEM or SBD trying, they would be better off POWERING UP a few times with rewards gained.
SPAMMING in the comments of posts has become a big problem too with the influx of noobies....SPAMMING (asking follow for follow or upvote for upvote and leaving begging comments) is not liked by most members and also won't work or won't for long....The community will start to hate those who do that, this will not end well for them.
