The universe is as old as it should be It could not have been any older or younger than what it is . Scientists say it is about 15 billion years old and began with a big bang. Whatever be the age and size of the universe it is what and how much it should be, nothing more, nothing less, either by an inch or by a second.
The big bang set the evolutionary course for the universe. But why did the univeres evolve the way it has? Why is there somthing rather than nothing? Is it that there was no other way the universe could have evolved? Is it that the whole process was set in motion for the evolution of man?
Yes, the whole evolutionary process took place only for man to evolve . There was no other way the universe could have evolved. It was bound by the evolutionary forces to evolve just the way it has and in the process create a marvel called man, that man that would deeply contemplate and marvel at his own existence and the source of it all.
Bang or no bang but the fact remaing that the creative process that was set rolling by that one event was to culminate in the evolution of man. Had the universe evolved in any other way then it could be possible that man may not have been on the scene. But it is absolutely imprtant to realise the intent of the event labelled as the big bang. Its sole purpose was to bring a universe into existence where man would play the pivotal role of the sole thinker of the source of creation. He would evolve with such powerful intellect that man would delve deep into the universe and marvel at the creation around him. And his curiosity and mother nature's influence would impress upon his mind to think of the creative force and seek Him out IT is man's ultimate goal. No other goal in life could be higher.
Ifsuch is the intent of the universe, that is to bring life into existence, then what could the purpose of life be. Islife purpose-less? Is ther no meaning to life and our existence? Would nature have bothered to produce life without a purpse? To produce such a highly evolved creature as man without any purpose would be like producing a car without any purpose, a car that would do nothing but stay put in a garrage.
The force that exsted before the big bang is the one that by itself became the universe that we see around us. That force, call it the Immortal one, the Original one, the First Awareness, is the one that existed all by itself before the big bang. This force had definite intent in creating the vast and fathomless universe with the big bang. It was to produce man, the man that would have the power and intellect to think about the creator and go beyond by seeking Him out. Yes that creatve force which set the universe rolling wants man not only to think about Him but to praise Him, seek him and realise him. What other purpose could there be for man to evolve? None ellse, none whatsoever.To think that life is purposeless is not only

) to belittle a marvelous creation but to belittle the creator itself. A fathomless universe of mind -boggling distances between galaxies exists just for the blessed creature called man . The extremely intelligent man fails to grasp this due to another of creation's powerful forces, the ego. Man's ego relentlessly works to pre-vent him from meditating on the creative force. Man prefers to concentrate on himself and the pleasures that satiate his desires, as a result preventing him from God- realisation.

We could say that the "purpose" of life is whatever the mind believes it to be. The mind creates meaning and the fact that "purpose" is different for each individual suggests that an objective purpose does not exist. At least not one that can be comprehended by the human mind.
Personally, I do not think that we should separate humans from other forms of life. All life is conscious and has consciousness. Just because a human cannot comprehend the consciousness of an animal does not mean that a human life is more important than an animals. Such a notion exists because of human ego.
God may be an energy that flows through all of life and all matter. God may be consciousness itself. If that is the case then maybe the purpose of life is to simultaneously create and experience creation. In other words, god experiences itself.
