Say Hello to Romaniaball All Over Again!
Romaniaball has been successfully running for almost a month now, but, as with anything, sometimes it is necessary to make some fundamental changes. To that end, I've decided to change the way the bot functions. My eternal gratitude to @guiltyparties for his efforts in operating the bot from the start and setting it up to vote and leave comments.
So, here are the big changes:
- No more reply comments! - I've seen it said elsewhere that bots who leave comments should be considered spam. I don't necessarily buy that argument, but I've had a few responses to the bot's replies about it leaving comments, so I've decided not to continue that feature. Instead, it will simply vote. Consider Romaniaball a silent partner to the @steemromania community.
- Voting by tag - One of the goals that @steemromania has is to encourage the use of the community name as a content tag. What better way to encourage its use than to filter votes by the use of the tag? Starting today, Romaniaball will upvote all posts with the tags steemromania, ro, and romania. It'll also upvote any posts with the tag romaniaball, so if you want to write a post about how awesome the bot is, it will be sure to love it.
Initially I wanted to stick with voting for the users the bot is following. However, I am humble enough to admit that I can't always keep track of all the users the bot should be voting for. By using tags as the criteria, it keeps me from being the reason a post isn't being voted on.
Now that it's back up and running, let's see some more good stuff coming out of Romania! Remember to tag your posts so Romaniaball can show them some love!
Romaniaball rulează cu success de aproape o lună, dar, ca și în cazul altor lucruri, uneori e necesar să faci schimbări fundamentale. Așa că am decis să schimb modul în care bot-ul funcționează. Îi sunt profund recunoscător lui @guiltyparties pentru efortul de a opera bot-ul și de al-l programa să voteze și să lase comentarii.
Marea schimbare este:
- Bot-ul nu va mai lăsa comentarii! - Am citit undeva că sunt considerate spam comentariile lăsate de boți. Nu sunt de acord cu acest lucru dar am avut câteva răspunsuri la comentariile bot-ului așa că am decis să scot complet această funcție.
- Vot prin tag - Considerați Romaniaball un partener tăcut al comunității @steemromania. Unul din obiectivele pe care @steemromania le are este să încurajeze folosirea numelui comunității ca și tag. Ce modalitate poate fi mai bună pentru a încuraja folosirea acestui tag decât votul după tag? Începând de azi Romaniaball va da upvote la toate postările cu tag #steemromania, #ro și #romania. De asemenea va da upvote și la postările cu tag #romaniaball așa că dacă doriți să scrieți o postare despre cât de minunat este acest bot puteți fi siguri că o să-i placă.
Inițial am vrut să dau upvote pentru utilizatorii pe care bot-ul îi urmărește (follow) dar trebuie să recunosc că nu reușesc întotdeauna să actualizez această listă la timp. Folosind ca și criteriu de upvote utilizarea tag-urilor de care ziceam mai sus mă scoate pe mine din lista motivelor pentru care o postare nu este votată de Romaniaball.
Acum totul este gata și bot-ul funcționează. Haideți să vedem mai multe lucruri bune venind din România !
