I'm digging the re-design, except for the tags on the left, but so far, it is much better than a few weeks ago, when it was so bad I had to leave.
It would take me minutes to up-vote or leave a comment, and sometimes it would just fail. It was unbearable, and hopefully they now fix these problems you are mentioning.
