Yes, accounting for differences in the blockchain values, we get similar self-voting percentages. At the time - 11 months ago - the simple APR was 72%!! I didn't calculate the 50-50 split as the point of the argument would have been the same. APR as of today is about 23%.
I think at the moment steem inc are waiting to see if adjusting the SBD print rate will have the desired effect. I suspect expectations will change without changing behaviour - such % rates are still way above bonds... although returns on NASDAQ would have been as good :-)
