Lot of FUD was created on 1st Feb. based on a news floated by Indian media on a possible ban on Crypto in India. Here's a video subsequent to the speech made by the Finance Minister of India on the Govt. stance. The gist is as long as your intent is legitimate we will not harass you.
So there you go. No 'BAN' in India on Bitcoin and Cryptos as stated by Mr. Subhash Chandra Garg, Secretary, Economic Affairs. He says that the Govt. understands that for some they will see value in 'Crypto Assets' and would buy them but at present.
The Govt. is currently looking at ways to regulate crypto transactions so that they remain transparent and thereby 'Legitimate'.
