No it won't make it go away, but neither is flagging everyone down. That just opens the door to censorship. But people will find a way to game anything, or leave when it's not worth it. We have bots to point us to in their direction, and your points on checking and not voting on bad behaviour should help as they'll be discouraged for not earning much, in anything. I just don't think the're is a solution to solve the problem; at least not one to solve it completely, or without resorting to measures that will do more harm than good.

Good point, especially about flagging. I was just reading about a flag war that is currently happening (very interesting stuff). Flags are used for censoring instead of downvoting because of the content of the post. Things seem to escalate very quickly when flags are used.

Exactly, and for me, the whole point of joining this platform is to get away from that. All ideas should be able to be spoken about. If they're dumb ideas they'll naturally fall to the wayside in a democratic platform. So let them speak whatever... if it's utter bs, ignore it and that's that :)
