If you don't vote for other people on Steemit, I will not vote for you. Simple. Unless you've written something that really grabs my interest, I will not be crossing this rule. This stands for whales, dolphins and minnows.
I want this platform to be a place of sharing and caring. The last thing I want is for it to represent a virtual rat-race much like the one that's going on in real life society. If you want to keep the revolution here online alive, act the part. Spread the Steem power, pay attention to what others are posting about and they'll see value to stay. They don't come here just to upvote your content afterall - they come here looking for an audience of their own.

We are the worker ants. Don't be a grasshopper.

<-- always on an upvote spree ^_^ lol
If my vote becomes worth a few cents, I'll implement new personal voting rules,
As for now, people leave steemit because others with power don't seem to vote for them - Most are too busy circle-jerking around rep 68'ers and people like @dollarvigilante where people upvote because they know @dan or @charlieshrem are gonna hit it soon after it's been posted. It's inevitable, everytime. The reason things like @curie started up is to help authors and content creators get noticed. That's our job. We should keep that in mind if we want the best for this place.

I make life very simple for myself really, I have revised my voting techniques.
I keep ten percent of my votes for myself to position my comments where I want them on other peoples posts ; just 10 %.
I follow a lot of people and vote 40 % from my feed, so 4 out of ten votes will always go to my feed which are those i am following.
I keep 20 % for the people I love as simply people who are doing great things for Steemit or make me feel all warm and gooey inside . . .
My last 30 percent I throw around NEW content, this means everyone. This is people I already am following and unknown authors to me.
But I always keep at least 40 % for my FEED, as a slightly obese minnow I can throw around 40 votes @ 100 % in 24 hours down to ~ 85 % voting power ! ! !
It is not much but I do what I can, but I cannot guarantee to reward everyone as much as some of them deserve always, but at least having guidelines lets me sleep at night with a cleaner conscience : )
C U @ the BlockChain ; )
@crok...thanks for your message...though i dont get how all those %'s get figured...how do you keep track...
I do not keep track at all ; I just sort of think of it as a personal policy statement . . .
if I really LiKe something then I upVote it ,
but I also tend to have my favourite type people that I tend to focus upon and specifically make sure I hit those bloggers with some extra voting LoVe ,
When I have already thrown out a ew votes I tend to become more selective in just randomly assigning more votes...
and when I find idiots clearly doing the wrong thing I hit the down as hard as I can.
either upvotes or downvotes I always use 100 % full power ...
/ hugz ;)
