You are conflating the Steem Blockchain with the
steemdimplementation of that consensus protocol.It's all very complicated; and therein lies the problem; mass adoption will never happen with such confusing matters surrounding Steem and Steemit.
(I have just noticed this post was not posted when I originally wrote it 2 months ago.
