Getting the Sticky to Steem

in #steemit8 years ago

Sounds gross? Just wait untill you read the rest of these...

I jest. This is just a short piece of a brainstorm I did some days ago. One of the best things Steemit has going for itself is the insane 'sticky' potential. It's a very innovative twist on the oldest tricks in the book, really. Users are rewarded to read daily, to post daily, with bonii for those who don't overdo it. Indeed, Steem rewards you for simply being there and showing up every day without fail. The curation power slides and the 4-post-limit will keep the balance between real power users and casual daily users somewhat even. It's a self policing system that rewards efficiency and persistence.

But we Could Make it Even Stickier

Smart branding and useful additions to the blockchain could make the current superglue into veritable cement to hold the community and our value carrier together. And it's up to us to lay the foundations for it.

The above is just a snippet of the spiderweb that Steemit could grow into. We own the blockchain, we own the network and we are both shareholders and contributors to this awesome place. We could create our own blockchain based games, with payments and DLC's being completely contained within the Steem ecosystem. But why stop there? We could stream ourselves playing said game, over a branch of the Steem system that's dedicated to sharing media in realtime with our followers and the network. Twitch meets Steem, with every upvote going toward publicity and creativity being nurtured and rewarded.

Kickstart Your Great Idea?

Try some Steemstarting instead. It'll create a closed feedback loop of innovations bringing value to the Steem network, and that value being redistributed to inventors and creators across the globe. There's no reason to stop at simple software and domain services, when the sky is the limit.

Gamble? Shop? Support Charity? Run Contests?

Steem has you covered with all of those. The money is here. The creators are here. The ideas are here. All we need is time and due dilligence. The show is only getting started.
