Folks, this is a responsibility you can not delegate to others - STREEMIAN Curation Trails must now be put to bed.
Recently I discovered that I upvoted the posts of a holocaust denier. Although I am not a fan of Israel and its slow-but-steady genocide of the Palestinian people, and its manipulation of US politics, I would never take my fact-based conclusions to such an outrageous extreme as that.
I do believe the German people are currently made to suffer from a collective guilt, sustained for too long as reflected in their extremely weak and self-destructive immigration policies, and the political correctness that ties their hands in dealing with migrants who engage in crime, including horrific acts of violence in the country.
Winfrey Bot and Curation Trails .. a Dangerous Combination
When you have a STREEMIAN Curation Trail Operator who is also using Winfrey bot, and upvoting every bloody thing that is posted on STEEMIT, you can passively be made to support posts that at best have no quality to them whatsoever, and anything down the redemptive scale that you can imagine.
Change Your Passwords and Use the De-Authorization Page on STREEMIAN ..
Re-take control of your voice, do not let others speak for you. It is ok to run a bot locally, so that you upvote a select group of posters that you know generate consistent quality, but anything other than that is dangerous and more than a little pointless.
I don't think condemning all curation trails because one or even several users are bad curators is really a fair critique/complaint. There are plenty of trail operators who don't vote on posts like the ones you mentioned.
For example: I am one such operator. I vote 100% manually. No auto-votes, not following any other trail.
You sir are the ideal curator .. I have spent a lot of time watching what the operators upvote and know this to be true. Unfortunately there are operators using Winfrey, which messes things up quite horribly. :)
Yes, the "Winfrey" curation is rather pointless. It's based on a false notion of value for the platform and a complete misunderstanding of economics and economic incentive. It defeats the purpose of trying to identify quality/popular content.
Wow - being pretty fresh on this here steem boat - had not realized such a practice (automatic upvoting to garner "curation" rewards - really!?) would even be condoned/tolerated by a community purporting to be egalitarian. Or am I confused?

Very badly, open your mind, history is written by the victors, the Zionist version, may not be true. The real holocaust is in Palestine. And I do not think you should show people, just to think differently
I would describe myself as an anti-Zionist, but never a historical revisionist .. holocaust denial is the best way to de-legitimize oneself. So many people have good points to make, but then totally lose it with crazy bullshit. :)
