We can't all expect to make a lot here. That's just not viable. Things are a bit skewed at the moment where a few people can make thousands when relatively few people see their posts. They just happen to either know a whale or somehow attract their attention. It seems the whales will often vote on what will make them the most.
I'd love to make some money here, but it's unlikely. But I'm having fun here and the technology is cool. If Steemit grows to millions of users then some of us should do better. As early adopters we have the chance to build up some Steem Power that will be useful later.
As I was perusing your blog, this attitude right here came through. No one wants to upvote that. Not saying it's the solution, but try asking yourself, what's the best that could happen?
I think we have to be realistic. I do think Steemit has great potential, but it really is a minority who will make the real money as on any network, e.g. Youtube. I want people to vote on their own convictions, but I value comments and discussion more. I'll be posting about other topics, so people may enjoy those more
Well, cynicism is just as naive as optimism, just pointed in a different direction. If you're not catching fish, but the other guy is, don't blame the pond, or the rod, try different bait, but whatever.
I'm not really that cynical. I'm a positive person generally. Interested in discussing the ups and downs. Cheers
