I am pleased to announce that with no fewer than 246,960 Registered Accounts on STEEMIT and 2,853 so far registered today, I am sticking with a Minimum Target of 650,000 at the End of the Year..!!

I'm about to go in and do my part. I'm in 700 fb groups on a variety of topics - reaching 11M fb users who are engaged and trying for some goal or another.
I have authors, weight loss, travel, social media, bloggers, and on and on. Half of the people in my groups are looking for help, and 50% of them are trying to get a message out there and being stifled at fb.
So far, I have been posting links to good steemit posts in my groups when it makes sense. But I am going to put my head down and do a good blast over there real quick.
I KNOW these people will jump. I do not have to say anything except for mentioning the huge opportunity to get the word out about your content.
When I send 40 messages to groups, I get 3-4 books sales in the next 48 hours from it. I think I will do better with steemit promos, but I have to do it right and not get banned or shut down.
I'm so exited for this!

Anyone who thinks it is a "free" Social Media platform are in for a rude awakening. Keep plugging away. The future is STEEMIT. Nothing else comes anywhere near close enough, especially when you have SHAREHOLDERS involved and with one agenda, to sell your thoughts, likes, dislikes, shares, ideas, content...... to the highest bidder..!! Yes, I feel like my days are numbered there. I have a huge reach so I want to use it as long as I can. This goes for twitter and my email list as well - possibly LinkedIn if I can stand it :)

Yeah I feel like this is where all the smart people are, and people like me left facebook when it was still good like 5 years ago.. This platform is already up there with reddit I feel like, and with the money we get, pushes this to the top!
I haven't been using Fb for nearly a year. Boring and keep changing all the time for the worse.
Yeah, took a big break from the personal side of FB for almost two years on and off but using it for business to run ads for self and clients. Then Steemit happened to me lol

Although we had a little dip there over the 4th holiday, (a lot of people offline and out doing summer stuff) We have def been maintaining an 2500 a day average over the past 3 and half weeks. Looking at the steady growth rate from beginning of the year and seeing a drive on the platform for high quality original content really fueling the overall strength of steemit, you have a motivational and competitive mixture for a lot of word of mouth and internet buzzing as a large number of people are actually learning to make a "Standard Online Income" that is really paying the bills.
I think there will be a lot of word of mouth promoting happening this summer and by about mid fall through the end of the year I honestly think we could see a huge spike in new users say even up to 10000 a day, because people will be looking for ways to get more money for the holidays especially christmas.
I love your high inspirational forcast for a 650k users by end of year. I feel like the numbers and a little speculation on human behavior and the move of the crowd tell me we could see 1 Million users by December 31st 2017 :)

This looks promising indeed, but i think its quite a massive dip over the 4-5-6 July seeing that it is a global platform.
But I see no problem in reaching 1 mill users by the end of the year, as long as the system can handle the change in use so that it still keeps possible to find the content you are looking for!
PS: didn't see @soundlegion comment before after posting. But he has some good thoughts indeed.

Steemit accounts is sky rocketing. A good sign for everyone.

OP and commenters are stoked with all the new users ... but have you considered the economic ramifications? Please see my post from last week 'The Platform Growth/Rewards Pie Paradox: A fundamental flaw in the Steemit architecture (Part 1 - The Problem)'.
In summary: cet. par. more users = less rewards / user ... this only dawned on me two weeks ago, before that I assumed more users = good too.
I'm doing a follow up on this Today/Tomorrow ... would be good to get your thoughts on this Stephan - Do you think it's a non issue? Steem will appreciate fast enough to offset growth in the userbase?

It's hard to imagine... Steemit already feels like it's "blown up", user growth is so huge now compared to a few months ago. Yet, in just another 6 months, we could more than double our current size??
