This will be from the last two weeks...
I'm actually done with voting today, as I've hit my recharge level
I have voted for myself for 26% of the time; out of 255 votes total, that means about 66 votes. Over two weeks that averages out at 4.7 times a day, which is more than than I average posting a day (2.5 according to steemsupply).
It means I am averaging voting about 18 times a day.
I have to assume that this is voting weight we are talking about; I sure hope so b/c I'd rather not be the guy that only votes for himself LOL.
I brainstormed some voting possibilities in Put in a request for a MinnowBooster Lease - Voting Strategies and Other Wild Fantasies:
- Voting for myself 4 times a day @100% leaves me with 92% Voting Power
- Curating down from 92% to the recharge level (@ 5% VP/vote) SHOULD be dropping me down by .08 VP/vote, which theoretically means about 150 votes a day to spit out...but I did note I saw some cumulative drop in VP.
- And I am in reality, curating in 3%/4% doses...
- Steemreports may be reporting votes in 100% VP increments, which makes more sense to me
- Math makes my head hurt; once upon a time I was good at it, too /smh
- I also have to note I will accidentally drop a 100% vote here and there; I do not like Steemit settings which remember the last vote when I am in "auto" mode, but on the other hand it is up to me to verify the voting level BEFORE I click it...derpy derpy hopenchange derp.
I only snagged temporary dolphin status a week ago, so g!d knows how I was curating in the week prior to that. I also should mention that the bulk of my curating is upvoting people I engage in conversations with, and upvoting commenters on my posts. I need to spend some more time curating OUTSIDE my normal range, as well. There are 3 Steemers I tend to make regular stops on the reading route; @richq11, @everittdmickey, and @dwinblood. I have good convos with them, so it makes sense that I spend more votes on them in my current pattern. I also tend to upvote @dragon40's work.
I tend to stay within topics associated with Information War, and I expect that pattern to continue.
I signed up for @frontrunner, but I don't think my Voting Power has hit the minimum value for that to kick in yet.
And I will keep playing with voting bots and such; I'll post more on that in the future. It's possible I never sit still in any voting strategy or pattern.
Thanks for reading!

Have you considered reducing your self voting a bit more? 24% isn't too bad, but I actually found that using my voting power on other people even more led to better rewards for myself.
Nowadays I am using less than 10% of my voting power on myself - in fact, closing in on 0% - and earning the most Steem I've ever earned.
Not seriously; I have conflicting goals for the platform
The bottom line is that I will share the wealth in accordance with building up my own SP, and for those people that I agree with the most often, while spending some time on curating general interest/new Steemers
I checked out that steem-reports thingie.

I don't understand it.
I only self-vote when I make a post. (it's an auto-magic thingie...I leave the box checked)
I curate quite a bit.
.
I vote way more often than I comment...otherwise how come why for my vote power stays so low?
In other news: thanks for mentioning some guys I can follow. Flakes of gold among tons of gravel I hope. I'm taking your recommendation.
and
Did you see Hey Steemains - Let's start a #discussion!?
I'm making guesses in my post; I'll spend most of today screwing around with some of the reporting sites
I don't really keep track; comment here, vote there; whicherver I feel like atm...was happily surprised that I wasn't spending it all on myself
off to read Tim now
I never saw the problem with upvote yourself. But it's definitely nice to know your spreading the welth
over the long term, it's going to help the platform succeeed
I appreciate those votes today. ;)
I appreciated the article and discussion!
82.45 -> 80.81 % Voting Power in publishing this 100% post.
