- Flags vs. Posts
For those of you that are new to Steemit, or even for those not so new, but are not aware that there is a flag war going on between two powerful whales. One whale, @haejin , is a newer account on Steemit when compared to other heavy whales. Yet haejin has taken Steemit by storm. He has accumulated more than 30,000 followers and has a Steemit Reputation score of 79, placing haejin in elite Steem company.
Haejin, unfortunately is accused of Steem RewardPoolRape. It is believed that Haejin has either another account or is in collaboration with another user to essentially reward Haejin's posts with as much STEEM as their accounts can muster. Haejin's blogs consist mostly of Elliot wave analysis of crypto-currencies and some stocks as well. Some claim that he has made them money with his postings and analysis, while others claim that throwing darts at a list of cryptos would work just as well as following haejin's trading analysis.
I don't really believe that @berniesanders ' gripe with haejin has anything to do with his postings or analysis, but rather how haejin conducts him or herself on Steemit. Neither haejin, nor his benefactor @ranchorelaxo , really help support anyone else on the Steemit network, but themselves. I believe that it is this act of avarice by these two accounts that has berniesanders claiming RewardPoolRape. Since Haejin has continued to pillage the Steem Reward Pool, berniesanders and crew are flagging ALL of haejin's posts.
Initially, when this war was declared and launched, many of haejin's post had their payouts decimated. Since then though, haejin has vowed to post even more. And while at first it seemed that berniesanders and crew where causing haejin severe reward loss, it now seems that it is more of a back and forth battle.
This flagging war might be more of a war of attrition, and might last a long time unless addressed by STEEMIT developers. For now the flagging continues while haejin and ranchorelaxo continue their assault on the STEEMIT Reward Pool.
Remember that the STEEMIT Reward Pool is a pool that ALL STEEMIANS share and are rewarded from. All Steemians should be Guardians of the STEEM Blockchain.

ps, if you check out haejin's account and look at his blog, scroll down to about 22 days ago, and you will see many of his post greyed out with $0 payout from the flagging. As you scroll up toward the present day, you will see that many of his posts were zeroed out, but then many have actually received payout. It goes back and forth.

Haejin flags all of my posts once they reach 7 days old (he's been doing this every day for 2 months now), and last night he flagged me twice with the Ranchorelaxo account.
I don't know if they're the same person, or a group of people, but I do know that haejin has ranchorelaxo's voting key.
I am following you now @lyndsaybowes and have reblogged one of your earlier posts....
I know there are many many more STEEMIANS interested in Helping STEEM help OTHERS and there are a few interested in only using STEEM to help themselves.
I do not think voting on your own posts is wrong, but Haejin has become beyond extremely abusive with self-voting, and worse yet is that he hardly ever up votes others or really shows support of STEEMIANS in general.
Maybe Haejin doesn't fully understand the STEEMIT premise.
Maybe he/she/they think the reward pool is actually coming out of the money he/she/they invested in steem.
Regardless of whether his posts are good or not, or he posts ten or twenty times a day, for me, the least favorite part of it all is that he shows little to no support for STEEMIANS or the STEEM network, and that to me is the most offensive of it all.

And if you notice that his upvotes to himself generate 10 times what haejin's voting for others does, and I believe it is actually getting worse and not better.
I don't think that haejin fully understands that this is a SOCIAL network where we have the means of truly supporting and helping each other, and in so doing help ourselves, but by just being avaricious we actually hurt the Social network called STEEMIT and thus, hurt all of us including themselves.
Here is to hoping that haejin eventually understands this.

Nice exp for all who are just tuning in and need to know this. In my opinion, @ranchorelaxo and @haejin need to share their vote with the community, at least a little bit and all this would go away... Since they refuse it, flag the bitches F it
Technically speaking it will be easy to change the rule of the game by the Steemit team.
For example, a person with a certain amount of SP could upvote someone one time every 3 days!
Limit the number of posts you can make on a timeframe of 24 hours to 5!
Yes I believe many rules can actually be implemented with consensus, but it is just sad that someone can't just learn to get along instead of having to be forced too.

I read the article, I agree with you that haejin conducts him or herself on Steemit.
It is just a vicious cycle. There is need for something to be done about this. This flagging war makes me ponder if there are others having the same war, maybe there are but not as outrageous as this twos

There is one conspiracy theory that the developers are letting this happen because it gives more publicity to steemit. Good or bad publlicity is still publicity right? I have read this somewhere. although personally I would like more publicity for steemit as an enabling platform that helps in solving real world problems through its different steem-based applications.
