Play Better Golf Lesson 2: Let's start with the correct backswing movement

Once you are set up in a good address position (feet shoulder width apart, ball in the center of your stance with a short iron, body aligned correctly), you will want to get the club moving back on plane. It is important to not roll your hands or forearms on the way back because this will cause the clubhead to get behind the hands at the halfway back position. A good start to the backswing keeps the club pointing at your belly button. Below is a link to a video I did to explain the proper takeaway.
