I don't mind anyone upvoting their own posts, and I don't mind tiny minnows upvoting their comments because they don't know any better. But you have an 0.11 vote, you are not a tiny minnow. Because comments are sorted by their upvotes, when you upvote your own comment you're declaring that what you have to say is more important than everyone else. And that's inappropriate. You should let other people's opinions of your comments allow them to rise to the top.
