RE: Trap The Viewer Through Your Comments!

in #steemit8 years ago (edited)

I made a Dtube video a while back explaining how i format my posts, if you want to check it out :) but the main stuff is using > for quotes just like this:

I like the idea of using quotations as well.

I just mute or flag spammers the second time they do it... if i get bigger on steemit i should probably start making a red list to put all the spammers that i've warned
I've had a couple of those that upvote my posts with 0.00$ seconds after it was posted and leave a comment saying: " Great post Sir, i enjoy very much your content sir"

I'm going to make a post about this but here is my idea about spammers, they are getting money in return...
Yes they might get flagged to 0 after a couple days, but in the meantime they probably get 0.5 steem, that's not much but if you go and make 100 accounts spamming comments then they get 50steem... but i might be wrong... i went and checked steemcleaners latest reports on spammers, some of them actually have 20STEEM on their accounts... that's not much, but like i said, think about 100 accounts doing the same thing with a script and then you have 100accounts with 20 STEEM each!
The cellphone verification thingy is meant to decrease this spam, but we all know how asians are like, doing scripts with many different cellphone numbers is like a walk in the park for them...

Sorry for the long answer i kinda went on rant xD

Cool man thank for for further explain this

I GET IT NOW :D

Going to definitely up my formatting game with that one :)

No worries for the long response, writing is good therapy! Honestly 20 steem spread over 100 accounts that also have that amount comes out to a lot of money if someone is from a developing country so I see why people are doing it. It is defintely a less than savory practice though because it brings down the value of interactions like we are experiencing right now. It also wastes SP resources because those people are not actually creating content and curating people in the manner that the system is designed for. We are still in beta so I think that these issues will be ironed out over time, just have to trust the developers know what they are doing :) Cheers!
