So I was unceremoniously stuck in traffic over an hour before I finally got to work. Add that to the growing list of reasons I hate Mondays.
Hello everyone. It's a new week, or rather a new work week and nothing has changed, I still hate Mondays.
But this is the beginning of a new week and I'm going to be positive and happy all week, so I'm speaking good things into existence throughout this week!!
When I woke up this morning, I saw a text from a friend ( @feekayo ) . It was a link to a song from an artist I haven't heard of before. So I decided to give it a listen.
The chorus of the song goes like:
I put my phone on
Do not disturb
I don't want you to call me no more
Do not disturb
Don't even try star 69
Do not disturb
Stop filling up my voicemail
Do not disturb
And the song actually got me. Like there are a lot of distractions in form of friends or colleagues that are just trying to disturb us from our goals. People that don't want us to stay focused, taking up space and not even giving room for important things in our lives.
So to people like that, this week and the rest of the year, I say
DO NOT DISTURB!!!!
Just had to get that out there. Have a lovely week everyone. Now I have to start my work for the day.
