Yes it does give a very basic breakdown on the number of clicks. I've only been using them on Facebook until now but thought I would try them in other places both to save time and to use the metrics more. So far the data from FB was only giving between 5-10 clicks. I think I should use them for twitter too as I often hit the character limit before tagging.

Is it possible you could put up a quick tutorial on how to use bit.ly? I would pay.

No need to pay lol. It really is very easy. If you are not in a rush I could probably just add it on to the end of my next post tomorrow or something - won't be very long.
