I understand your concern but keep in mind that exchanges have hundreds of assets and Steemit Inc. or witnesses can let them know that the blockchain is working again, but exchanges are running their own nodes and it's their responsibility to start them as fast as possible.

It affects STEEM holders. It is our responsibility to reach out to the exchanges to lend a helping hand to get our currency functioning. Assuming that exchanges will actually do something is not a responsible approach. I hope you understand. Since we are not Steemit Inc, the exchanges will not pay attention to our communications with them. We need the support of Steemit Inc and Witnesses.
