I've decided it's time for me to get the fuck out of here. The reasoning behind my decision isn't really important but before I go, I just want to say thanks to you all for the support you've shown me, in many different ways, over the last year or so and I'd also like to wish you all the best of luck in everything you do in future. :)

You may want to delegate your Steem Power to someone. Either if you want to help someone who is active grow or if you have a good idea on who to delegate it to for some nice passive profit, that I leave up for you to decide. Still, don't just leave it lying around.

You've been such a great inspiration to me and you were the one that gave me the courage and encouragement to start writing. Why oh why is it all the sound ones like yourself and Scott that we're losing? I wish you all the very best Tony and it was great meeting you.

If I did provide some inspiration for you then that in itself is all I need to know to know my time here was well spent.

I kept the post pretty short and to the point as I didn't feel the need to explain myself but if I'd expanded further I'd jave taken the time to thank a handful of people individually and you would have been one of them. If you're up for it I'd like to keep intouch somehow. :)
It really all started for me with your invitation to do the A-Z art challenge. Without your encouragement and assurance that writing also qualified as art, I'd never have dared to undertake it, and without feeling that if I gave up I'd be letting you down, I'd likely never have completed it. I'm certain that I'm not the only one who feels like that either. You're a good 'un Tony, and there aren't many like you. And I say that with over 50 years of dealing with people under my belt.
If you ever find yourself this side of the sea I always have a spare room for you. Steemit chat where we spoke before seems to be gone but I'm on the isleofwrite discord and my mail address is [email protected].

Thanks for the kind words and good wishes @k0wsk1. I hop you're not too disappointed in my lack of explanation. I didn't really want to go into detail since some of the reasons are quite personal and not something I feel comfortable sharing. I do have issues with some aspects of steemit that make my decision easier but these are secondary and I've spoken about them at length in previous posts. I did think it was important to say thank you before I left though. :)

I felt that same relief when I deleted my facebook account years ago. When I made a new one is was to promote my brother's music, and then I realized that the energy in the place affects me to a degree that I can only stand to be on it briefly, and briefly it's fine. Is it like that for you? I've been feeling that a bit here too, which is why I don't spend as much time commenting as I once did.

We haven't spoken much, if any, but I know who you are. I'm sorry you've had a difficult ride here even though I don't know what it's been like. I can imagine it is difficult for many. It had been a while since I had seen you around so i decided to check your page and ahh.. Darn. That's a bummer. Sorry to see you go, you're one of my favorite people on here. And it sucks it took me like a month to see this, shows how good of a friend I am I guess. Though I admit I've been super busy with the contest.. So.. It is what it is.. I still believe that's going to some day be something that helps others more than it already has. I assume you'll still be able to give the trophy token to the winner? If not, no worries. It's not big deal. Thanks for being such an awesome person while you were here and hopefully you stop in from time to time like it looks like you said you might in the comments that I read.
