I certainly can't claim to be "more established", in fact I'm probably likely to be one of the newest Steemians to reply to this post. In answer to your "big fat question", from my perspective as a n00bie minnow, I'd have to say that the various Dapps and interfaces that make up the Steem ecosystem are like a smörgåsbord of awesome delights. Learning about all the various different things that I can do on the Steem blockchain, and different ways to earn rewards, is half the fun of it all! I'm already into #SteemMonsters, and I'm also keeping a close eye on #Chibera, which is going to be an MMORPG built with Steem Blockchain integration for trading, faction/guild communications etc. The lead developer of Chibera is the same person who created Zappl. I'm hoping that there can be some further interaction between Chibera and SteemMonsters, too! That would be wicked! 😁
Thanks for the detailed response. To be honest, I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. On one hand, you're right, it's an exciting smörgåsbord. On the other, I do struggle to find the type of content I would want to read on Medium or Twitter...BUT...in all fairness, I wasn't on Medium or Twitter when they first started so maybe it was similar in terms of content quality. I've heard the Twitter stories about people posting that they were brushing their teeth, that they were putting on socks etc...Not inspiring content. The main point, I'm pretty new myself despite having signed up back in 2016 and I think I need to do a bit of learning and questioning before assuming anything. I'll be watching for you posts mate!
