Interesting math, but since whales hold tons of STEEM, it de facto means that joining later is not that attractive: whales rule everything: they make the most money, they select the witnesses, they decide who will flourish and who will not. I think that is the biggest problem for Steemit: yes there will be more Steem, but less per person, this less per vote, unless you are a big whale.

I disagree. It may be not as attractive as joining earlier, but it is still attractive to join a social media site for FREE, have to invest $0, and can make $ from your content.
NO OTHER SITE ON THE PLANET GIVES ANY PERSON WITH NO $ A BETTER OPPORTUNITY TO GENERATE $.
Also, you will receive less steem as Steemit grows, but that will be offset by the rise of price in Steem.
Don't get lost in all that Whale thinking, IMO 1 Steem will be worth $100 in the future, so focus on building your steem power by creating quality and positive content, Steemit is still just getting started!
