The traditional way making money blogging was through ads. With steemit coming around it created a more realiable way of making money. What if you could have both? Maybe have the ads are tastefully added to your own post at the end. I would't mind that, especially since it would be based on number of views not number of upvotes. The old bloggin sites would have no chance.
Is this even possible now?

i think steemit dont need ads it will ruin the community..
I thought so too , however I wouldn't want them to be invasive. I sorta like the way youtube does it. Or it can be like a setting to where you can just turn off ads when you want to. I don't think it would ruin the community.
There are many ways to earn money from your blog. We can integrate many platforms to earn from these different sources.
I like to promote my blogs on Steemit. I write a short article linking to my article so I get more exposure to my blog and also earn cryptocurrency.

Unless your blog have million visitors daily, your earn much more if you are able post a quality content.

STOPI have been on other writing websites that have implemented Adsense - but it has to be done by the owner of the domain, in this case Steemit.
Also, if you look at the standard URL of each post, it is:
steemit.com/tag/username/post-title
so unless you always post in the same tag, your Adsense code won't work for all posts.
I think you may be able to insert Amazon code.
