I think the success of either will depend on the child and the situation. I think that homeschooling can be a tremendous learning opportunity and a fantastic way for parents and children to create stronger bonds. As a parent and teacher my biggest concern with homeschooling is the ability for children to socialize and experience those daily interactions with other kids. Be these good, bad or whatever, it is important for kids to learn how to deal with these interactions. I know that homeschooled children can get those experiences through play dates and other activities but its learning how to deal with a variety of situations that is a valuable experience. I like the idea of a mix as you are suggesting. Again, this will depend oh the child and the family.

I agree with you it is not a easy matter, and children should learn to socialise thank you.
