I wish I had known this earlier. Bidding is tricky and sometimes frustrating. I bid on a budget so all I can do is wait. I wait to see first if a whale would vote my post (no kidding!) Haha! I circulate my post first in our group and if my friends like it, they might send it to a whale, so I don't even need to spend on upvotes. If that's not the case, I set aside 1-3 SBD (My situation may be totally different from yours so this is not my advice, just my practice.) Now that Steem price is low, I need to cash out everything and power down so I hardly ever have much to promote. - Which is not at all advisable. This is a downward spiral I want to get out of as soon as possible. Anyways, thanks for putting in so much effort in educating us about bit-bots. I hope you can promote your post to more dolphins and whales out there. Resteemed.

Yes I agree with you. Setting aside some budget for bidbots is a good idea to limit yourself. I once became so addicted on bidbots and it frustrates me when I noticed that I was losing and not getting back what I put on it. Now that I know how to bid wisely, I only allot maximum of 1 SBD to bid for my post if no whales upvoted it, just to add extra exposure as it brings your post on the Hot section.
