Technology cuts across all areas of life. Even teachers are thinking about ways they can integrate the most recent of technologies into their work. It makes teaching more enjoyable and easier. Any reasonable person that knows it is possible to do what would have been done in a week in a day, will definitely want the shorter duration. That is exactly what technology does, it helps to reduce the time a teacher or a lecturer would have spent teaching without using technology. Let's see some ways technology is actually helping tecahers, thereby lessening their loads.

Using short videos in classes
Most schools now allow even high school students to come to school with tablets. This enables teachers to easily cast videos to the students when he doesn't want to use a projector. It is often said that what is seen, it is difficult to forget. Imagine a teacher teaching some children how a volcanic eruption looks with just mouth description, sounds really disheartening. Unlike, when a teacher shows his students some videos, they easily grab how it looks. Even makes some students feel like they have visited the place. If you show an interesting video to a kid today, he will be expecting another one tomorrow, so you keep him in anticipation. That is good for education.

Teachers or lecturers can easily find videos to download online from various websites, depending on their fields. I came across Teacherhub not too long ago, it looks like a YouTube for teachers. Some helpful materials can even be found on the #steemiteducation tag. Hopefully, in the future there might be a website on the Steem blockchain for education related materials.

Live videos
This is another thing that makes teaching fun. A teacher can easily relate with a colleague who lives really far a way and set up a live video for his students. During the live video session, the teacher's colleague can contribute to the class discussion, while the entire class can see him on the screen. With live videos, even lecturers can invite guest lecturers to talk to their students. This encourages exchange of ideas. After the classes, students can even ask the guest lecturer or teacher some questions.

Infographics
This requires knowledge of basic graphics. I'm really bad at graphics, but a big fan of infographics. Infographics helps to represent so much data in such a way that it appeals to the eyes and easy to understand. Beauty always attracts, this makes infographics thereby attracting more students to pay more attention to a teacher's work that is arranged this way. If it is not possible for teachers to learn how to create infographics, some can be downloaded online (just like the one used above) and used in the classroom.
Thanks for reading :)

I think technology aids education in myriad ways, too numerous to be specific, but in general, technology can, and should, be seen as an extension of one's own intellect; of one's own body, to skirt near trans-humanism.
All The technology in the world, however, can never replace that act of physically experiencing something in person. This both supports the claim for technology aiding educators and students, and, unfortunately, levels it's utility with the students ability to learn. Moreover, "how" they learn. Not all students learn by wrote or by memory.
The point I'm making is that teaching students how /they/ learn individually will make the technology more accessible to each, in lasting and meaningful ways.
I teach in senior high school in the Philippines, we do use LED TV's, we regulately allow the use of smart phones, tablet and laptops in the class to facilitate learning.
The main problem in our case is the reliability of internet connection, the cost, and still many students are in the low income bracket that they do not have these tech gadgets.
We are almost on the door, of the future classroom, but we just can't fit. You know what I mean.
Yeah, that's true. Third world countries often have those problems you mentioned. Maybe in the nearest future, there will be solutions to such problems.
Steemit can be used in the classroom, as we use blogspot and wordpress, definitely steemit can do right?
Beautiful exposition on this one
technology is the future and as the years go by new and modern tools that aid work will emerge and it is for the greater good as it will help students move with the current trend and purify their way to a brighter future
Technology just like crypto is the future and we need to begin to learn them now
I so agree with the last sentence! Technology is definitely the future! !
Of course, I also wish that the grown-ups would learn with the technology available, but the children are so quick to learn new things that the assignment can wait.
I am rather for the other direction, regular meditation.
Meditation as a regular school subject to strengthen their ability to concentrate.
I teach an occasional college and I have noticed that students learn faster and are much more engaged when technology is used.
This is true. Everyone wants the best!
This prospective of teaching is really good for the students!
As students in early ages get started to interact with the technology!
The earlier, the better :)
Learning with tech i imagine will be very fun compared to traditional teaching methods.....imagine seeing a visual representation of every concept being explained by the teacher....that would go a long way.
I wish we can have that over here too. It's going to be really great to see students learn in a very comfortable way.
Science and technology in classrooms will also help insight new ideas in the mind of young children as they become more exposed to it
Yeah, the earlier children are exposed to technology, the better. It will definitely make tech become their way of life.
It is a known fact that pictures and videos stick more. So the use of pictures and videos makes learning fun. True, but they make what we learn through them clearer and easier to recall. Very insightful post
Thanks for coming around Emmy, I'm glad you enjoyed reading.
Agreed technology is very vital, but in this part of the world one common issue faced is maintenance. If these technology are employed, with time due to negligence and miss-use run out of service. This is a great development but until we learn to appreciate technology, we still have a long way to go
That's true. It's one thing to have something, and another to keep it running. The maintenance culture needs to really improve.
Sometimes i wonder where the mentality of "Technology makes us lazy" was gotten from. I say this because it is the major excuse given as to why technology is not adopted in schools and some other Learning institutions.
I have a question for this archaic-laggers, Is is note dictation that makes us hardworking?!
It is simply delusional!
Infographics,Video casting and Live videos if adopted, would really spike our learning curve in this part of the world.
Thanks again sir for sharing this idea always overly overlooked!😉
