Thank you for this very comprehensive post about bid bots. The bid bots are a really weird concept for people who are new (and not so new at steemit). I personally feel that these bots should be banned from steemit but I do see how they can serve a purpose. I am new and have only made a few posts. I don't use these bid bots to make more Steem but I see it as a way of paid advertisement to get an upvote on your post which indirectly may make your post move to the trending post. Keep in mind many of the bots have a negative ROI. Anyway a great post for understanding bid bots and I am sure it will help many new people.

Thank you! Yes you're right, bidbots, on the other hand, helps steemians to get extra exposure. Negative ROI often happen thus, it's important that we know how to play the bidding. So far since I learned the proper way of bidding I seldom lose from it and I hope it works with them too.
