RE: Field Guide to Steemit: How it works and how to survive your first 30 days

Thanks for the reply! I’ll try my best to answer your questions.

  1. Steem dollars are like any other crypto token in that they can rise in value based on market demand. Since this writing, SBD price has risen to $10. So if you were to exchange 37.50 SBD you’ll receive $375 worth of value. The payout you see isn’t accurate of final value when SBD is trading for more than a $1. A bit confusing, and you’ll have to keep up with Steem and SBD prices to really know what value to expect from a post.

  2. There is no Android app at the moment. I haven’t used GINAbot, but you can look into it here https://steemit.com/introduceyourself/@ginabot/hi-i-am-gina-i-m-here-to-help. It’s a notification bot for Discord.

Thank you for your answers theferalone.
I will eventually wrap my head around this crypto stuff.
About the Android App. Sad. I hate to sit at my computer. Hopefully soon something comes up.

Hey @theferalone.
Who is that berniesander you mention above? And why did he call on the power of the masses, and regulate unfair distributions.
I know the Democrat Bernie Sanders, but I guess thats not who you where referring to.
Just being curios and studying this article again.

Check out @berniesanders’ profile he makes it a point to call out users who are gaming the system. Most recently this was @haejin who was taking 6% of the total reward pool a day. He was posting multiple crypto trading tips a day without much information but pulling in hundreds for each. There was line random whale with insane SP that would only vote on @haejin. So Bernie sanders called him out and started a war, if you looked on trending this past month, you would have seen a bunch of posts relating to this feud.

Ah, Ok. Got it. Im just confused by the name alias this person chose.

Getting into all this steemit thing is crazy. It feels like we are participating in a brith of a new nation where there are no rules jet and we have to fight for a fair society that is based on respect and equality...

I agree, this is how the crypto world feels in general right now. So much potential for good, but it can easily be taken off track if the community becomes complacent and narrow minded. It's going to take every citizen of this "new nation" to stay active and engaged to reach that "crypto promise land" we all are hoping for.

I know the good will always win, yet its always a bit lazy. I heard this somewhere and liked it very much!
