Good post, with some good information! 😊
From the first day I joined Steemit, it has bothered me how the word "curation" is being misused/redefined here. And yes, I realize it wasn't you that adulterated the word, it was the community before you, before me, that did it. Anyway, my apologies for digressing...
I am puzzled about one thing you reported. You mentioned "curation trails" and said that streemian.com and steemauto.com were two tools for joining curation trails. Couldn't one also join a curation trail by adding one of them (curie, ocd, onequality, etc.) to SteamVoter, keeping it all in one place without having to join yet-another-website...?
Hey @thekittygirl. LOLx for your funny 2nd paragraph.
Concerning your question, curation trails and autoupvote are 2 different things. It all depends on what you want to achieve.
CURATION TRAILS: lets say you join @curie's trail on streemian, it means that anything curie upvotes, you will als automatically upvote same. Advantage is that you are helping curie to increase their vote value and help minnows. Disadvantage is that it will drain you VP. curie may be voting upto 100 xs per day. Who knows?
AUTOUPVOTE WITH STEEMVOTER: lets say you put curie on auto-upvote. It means you upvote every post curie makes. Note the difference from the above. This is the one I love to use. I chose authors I like their works and I put them on steemvoter so that anytime they post, I upvote. Whether I'm online or offline...
Hope it makes better sense now. Cheers!
Ah, I see what you mean about the difference! THANK YOU for explaining it and helping me to learn something new today! Yay! 😊
and that second paragraph wasn't supposed to be funny; it was a mini-rant because the misuse of the word 'curation' on Steemit really agitates me! LOL
