Ohana | Introducing Steemitfamilyph
After curating the post from its members in the past month we are now able to make a proper introduction to what @steemitfamilyph is our vision and mission.
The featured post is still ongoing and if you are using the tags #steemitfamilyph or #untalented and you are creating awesome content chances are you might be spotted by our resident curators from the group.

Amazingly we are increasing in numbers and new chapters are being organized.
With the success of the main account and to support the folks that are from a far away places the admins together with the leaders decided to have a Steemitfamilyph chapter in some location.
As of the moment we have @sfp-ilocosnorte and @sfp-laguna created already.
We will be having another chapter in Caloocan which will be led by @joeysison, @lalasison, @chaelpacia, and @ailight. This is a short intro of the Caloocan folks. STEEMIT CALOOCAN - STARTS SMALL
We will also have chapters in the following areas
- Tacloban - Led by @wilsonblue05
- Cebu - Led by @wdoutjah
- Batangas - Led by @guruvaj
It's Better to Give Than To Receive
Another outreach event will happen this Saturday by our Teachers and Student Leaders from @sfp-laguna. In their previous outreach they are able to reach out to the 20 unprivileged children wherein they give foods and even share stories and games.
This time hopefully they will be able to share more blessings if you want to join on their initiative you can reach out to the community leader @andrewjohntamban to know more about their projects.
Our Crypto-chick @ankarlie got her 3000 followers mark
Steem to the moon! Steem to the moon! Yep, she is that girl in the @steem-secrets video. But honestly, this young lady is truly a gem in the group. She is really helpful and responds to the concerns of the newbies each time that she is available. No wonder she got the 3,000 followers hahaha! We are so proud of you Ani!
Steemitfamilyph with the cooperation of Gift In Kind Ph has plans to do an educational fund-raising drive for the benefit of 100 Aeta children in Tarlac. New school materials will be given to the students and even the school itself as Gift in Kind already started a project of adapting the Banawen Elementary school as a beneficiary. Most of the core leaders of @steemitfamilyph are into dentistry and as a way of promoting oral hygiene, we will be doing a Medical and Dental mission.
If you want to help and be involved with the project you can reach out to the main person in charge of the project @maverickinvictus or even @steemitfamilyph.

Promoting Steem to Gift in Kind Foundation| Our first step to modern fund raising
As per @wdoutjah the one that will be leading the Cebu chapter they will incorpate Steemit in their ongoing projects like The Lugaw Projectwhich is a Feeding Program and We Move Mountains (Outreach to Mountain Barangays of Cebu).
Since the account of sfp-cebu is still in process right now there's no post yet about the said project collaboration but to get more details about it and how you can help you can reach out to @wdoutjah.
Creating an awesome post is definitely one of the ways to earn rewards here on steemit. But some folks also forgot that engagement/ leaving genuine comments to the authors also have benefits.
Since we are always pushing to Engage! Engage! and Engage to the community the admins of @steemitfamilyph decided to host a contest. The Post Engagement god-level @maverickinvictus will be giving away 1SBD per week to the Ohana that will win the said competition.
The rules are simple:
- Ohana member must have at least one post for the past month
- Ohana member must be a follower of @steemitfamilyph
- At least 75% of author's post has been tagged with "steemitfamilyph"
Those are just the simple rules for us to determine the sole winner and the one that will get the title "Engagement Champion"
How are we going to determine the winner of the contest? That is with the help of @jazzhero our curie in training guy. He has a tool that can extract the data using the said conditions. Also, we excluded @maverickinvictus on this contest because we all know from Ohana that he will win on this for sure if he will be a participant.
Here are his stats as of the moment and the top-5 Ohana's
He will also get this cute personalized badge that he can place on his post to show how awesome he/she is.
Plus if he/she will be able to maintain his spot for 4 weeks consecutively the Ohana will get the title "Engagement Hero" and will take home 5SBD.
Btw if we found out that the Ohana will be leaving spammy/ senseless comments just for the sake of winning on the round he will be disqualified for the week. We want to make sure that each participant will be building connections to the author by leaving comments that will add value to the post of the author. So something like "nice comment upvoted and resteemed" and such is not allowed
To make the discord channel lively, we decided to host a Karaoke session starting this Friday 9:00 PM the participants will need to the song that they are comfortable singing with. It is okay if you sing off-key btw since this is purely for fun.
The mechanics of the karaoke contest will be determined by the judge that we will have on that day. Again this is not a competition but for fun purposes only.

To wrap everything in this week's report we will be featuring some members of Ohana in that way the followers will be able to know them better.
Let's start with the leader of steemitfamilyph @jon24jon24.
The future dentist, he is an "amateur" photographer but mind you guys this "amateur" is winning some of the daily contest of photography by @juliank. Being a future dentist one of his advocacy is to incorporate use steemit as a way to help and spread awareness of Oral Hygiene here in the country by doing medical and dental missions in the future.
Aside from that he is knowledgeable about crypto-currency too! He just found steemit after a month of buying steem from an exchanger and the rest is history.
Most of the time he is in the planning department. Thinking about how to improve the community and the admins respected him highly on being a great leader to us. Although he barely talks and hates the spotlight by votation we are able to persuade him and he got the first spot on the Feature an Ohana.
