Nice challenge but giving out your real name? Not going to happen. Our local news station went to making people use their FB accounts to log in because they felt people would behave better in comments. One night during a debate on immigration and not a open borders fan some guy looked me up in the city property registry and posted a picture of my house and address and encouraged people to come and protest in front of it. There are WAY MORE scary people here on Steemit. Say it reflects upon the life I've had but I am a firm believer that anything can happen so I am not into making that any easier on the crazies out there.
I started out blogging with my initials and last name and if I were to use another name I'd probably go back to that. Reason being is it gave me a little more legitimacy as a person connecting to the world but not enough to give weirdo's a chance of finding your exact location. Even though they don't always need to know your name if they are good at hacking, which some weirdo did and was spying on me through my cam on my computer for months before I realized it. I am quite content with Sunlit 7, I use that on every blog except my local news blog which I built a fake FB account and am known as Quite Frankly on...because quite frankly I can be quite frank about my opinion without some creep posting my address anymore. I don't spend a whole lot of time blogging there anymore, I like the wide array of subject matter other blogs offer. I use Sunlit 7 as my trademark name for blogging on the vast web, the name comes from wanting to reach up to the sun if I could after a dark, dreary winter, I want to be lit up! by it before darkness falls at 7 pm, which is the time daylight progresses to before they do the time change in the spring of the year. Though I don't use my real name Sunlit 7 is the only sock account that spawned from using my real initials, that's about as much honesty as I can offer. This is also as close to entering that contest as I am getting. lol.
