Steemjet Tips:
Feel free to reply to any of my posts but I no longer have enough time to read posts that are under 10 days old because I receive hundreds of replies to every post now and I am only one person. We will be looking to delegate responsibility soon, to free up some of my time. I have not even been able to look at anyone’s posts under the steemjet tag for months now because it now takes me hours to sift through my own posts. I am not trying to ignore anyone. Much of my inefficiency is due to my own disorganization, therefore I am establishing some best practices / efficiency formatting:
I am going to start every post with the same format and give everyone the best chance to have their message to me read, and works critiqued. This is the least I can do. The most I can do is delegate responsibility eventually.
I am almost done cleaning up the accounting books for those who accepted the cash out offer and upvoting those who still like upvotes as a prize, and then I need to assess and clean up all the contest submissions, and then I need to do the real important stuff!
The best way to submit a piece is to attach it to a post that is less than 10 days old. This way, you will be guaranteed to know that I at least saw it. I do not want to miss anybody’s post, nor do I want to re-read the same post 5 times (because I am inefficient). Therefore, expect response turn around time to be about 10 days with a performance target of 3 (I have much work to do, now that I am feeling better from the worst flu in history).
Now that I have some best practices established for myself, I am looking to establish some best practices going forward for some members of the Steemjet Space Force.
Establishing a set of guidelines to boarding and riding Steemjet will help those who are interested quickly assess the best way to create an enjoyable experience while leaving little disappointment due to wasted efforts, misunderstandings, and miscommunication.
I need to delegate:
This is how I need to spend my time:
5% greeting new members, explaining what is going on, and guiding the most current discussion to effective conclusions.
Currently I am spending about a third of my time re-explaining the same thing over and over. This is terrible. From now on, my posts will be well defined (and not “under construcion” as much) in order to more carefully and effectively communicate the actions required from the Steemjet Space Force.
Each post will contain this new “Steemjet Sticky” post template which will quickly let the reader know what Steemjet is, what we have done, and what we are doing.
The current problem I currently have is that with so many irons in the fire, I won’t be able to even read any responses here for 10 days. The good news is that I am feeling much better physically, and hopefully we can get some traction on some delegation of responsibilities to those who have more time to meet and greet and explain things clearly.
So here is what I am proposing. Let’s try dedicating 10% of our steem power to steeming my posts, and any posts under the steemjet tag. I will split this 10% among 4 Space Force members (I guess I should ask if this is even possible)(is this possible?) Use your best judgement which should bring the cream to the top, then I can tend to contest accounting which I have fallen way behind. Feel free to steem your comments when you need to position your comments where they can be most effective. This also acts as compensation. All I ask in return besides your keen judgement, is a weekly report highlighting people, posts, and comments that you think that I should see, because the fact is that I can not see them all anymore.
This clarity of explanation will garner trust.
We will call these delegates:
Space Force One
And they when they write their weekly (OK, let us make this every 2 weeks) report, it will contain their interpretation of the consensus of weather or not we should end our steemjet "Time" art contest early. Because my lack of ability to read the consensus of the community already cost us literally tens of thousands of dollars in liquid capital payouts simply because I did not have the time or ability to effectively figure out who "won" the slogan competition. Therefore EVERYONE won, but our productivity really took a hit due to my laziness/generosity/dimness/etc. You get the picture.
I get too caught up in all the beautiful art, and stare at the pictures for hours being inspired. And that was ok when it was just me and a handful of images, but we really have a LOT of work planned that is not even addressed. I am spending ALL my time staring at beautiful lines, colors, textures, shapes, concepts, and accounting records, when I need to be steering us towards the future.
If contest winners know that 10% of our Steem Power is dedicated to greeting newbies, and pumping the best contest submissions to the top of the post, then they will be more willing to accept the upvote prizes than the 50 cents on the dollar liquid steem cashout offer which is now in full effect forever due to its immense popularity.
If you are not already a member of the Steemjet Space Force, then it will be more difficult for you to convince me that you have the right stuff:

It is a shame that ALL newcomers are not being greeted by myself no longer and by the time I get to their posts, it is too late to upvote them (greet them properly), and therefore we are not gaining mass adoption, which is our overall mission therefore we are failing without delegation.

TLDR:
Tell me how you would curate my posts (and other posts in the steemjet tag) to ensure that the cream rises to the top and the earnest newcomers don't go unnoticed.
If I can hire 4 curators to manage 24000 SP, then I can get caught up MUCH faster, and start being more effective to our community.
Because right now, I am about as effective as Fat Elvis in a kung fu fight

I have been confusing everyone by upvoting pictures before the contest has beeen completed, and now it is pure chaos around here. The fact is that your pize comes in ADDITION to all the kick ass upvotes you receive prior to the contest ending which has fueled people running for the exits and taking the buy out offer, again, pure chaos. Almost everyone has taken the buy out offer, only a few remain, which will make it easier to pay out though.
EDIT:
I need to be able to hit all entries with at least some steem because going forward, not everyone is going to be able to place in the leader board. In the past when we only had maybe 30-40 contestants, I was able to showcase everyone, but I also had to coax some design to completion. Now that the competition has blown up, we are getting more completed design concepts, however there are too many to mention everyone, which is why it is critical that I get caught up so I can at least give everyone SOME steem. Delegating SP should help this effort. Steemjet is all about bringing EVERY PERSON IN THE WORLD into our home and sharing food. Nobody can be left out. If we are going to be successful, then this is only the FIRST round of delegation. If this works out, then the next phase would be to have a couple people working for these 4 initial delegates, and possibly delegating to OTHER areas. We will see growth spurts and set backs of inefficiency, but as long as we learn and apply lessons learned, we will achieve the next level of adoption. Once I get these last few people off the payroll.

I seriously don't know ANYTHING about delegating SP except for that it MIGHT be possible..
Anyone can propose to do a better job, take on an extra 6000 SP and take someone's job. We are continuously looking to me MORE effective. When we start taking our show on the road, then we might have more people delegating less SP.
It is more than about judging contest entries. There are going to be many more posts about teaching crypto. Our plan is 2 dimensional marketing which I will explain later due to legal reasons, but again, this is just the TIP of the iceberg.
With a hive mind like we have with people like you analyzing our approach then we cannot lose.
Ultimately the goal of Steemjet is to pay the highest steem bath to the most effectively constructive comments!

I'm gutzygwin and a regular contributor to steemjet project. I'm glad you've recovered fully and I've been really wanting to bring up this suggestion of delegating your steem power to co-contributors to help you in your work and I do believe I am up to the task to make effiecient of such a delegation.
Why should I be considered?
I currently run a curation team known as #insta-bus and what we do is that we disperse or decrease the use of bot by helping out planktons and minnows in upvotes. We browse through the feeds looking for good quality contents to curate. This way people reduce their use of bots and they won't abuse the system and we upvote them for free. I used this project of mine as an example of my capabilities and you can verify this using the #insta-bus tag link.
running such a project has cost me a lot from my purse and I am not bothered because I like helping people, it's my top priority.
I am very much keen to steemjet project and I want to do more considering the fact that newbies in steemjet will need a help or two in getting noticed and much more.
Just as I have been doing in insta-bus, I am more obliged and more ready than ever to support steemjet and its contributors. Steemjet deserves more. The tag #steemjet needs to be heard and I pledge to the best of my capabilities to make that workout.
I also do feel the need to curate not only steemjet contributors, newbies and amateurs but I plan to also support your articles as from my point of view.....your post should hold value worth in $steemworth and should be promoted to everyone.

before its i want to tell. In my area there are many newcomers in steemit. But no curator has a big SP. We live in an inland village. To work to meet the needs of eating. We just rely on the results of gardening. I also share my knowledge about finding additional income in steemit. And finally they join in steemit. Secar we know that in steemit one way to earn income must post some articles to get VoTe from others. But on average we are newcomers in steemit. It is rare to lyric the same steemit people who have a big SP.
And we've made some good articles to get votes. But the result is no one vote more than $ 1. My friends are almost desperate. But. I continue to encourage them to stay in steemit. I taught them. That to get results. We must fight to survive. We do not have much money to invest in steemit.
I can only give to them the spirit. If to give Vote. It seems impossible. Because I only have 54 SP. If @dimimp would like to delegate some SP for my account. Let me help my new friends join in steemit.

It's really a nice idea but I disagree with some terms.
What if a new comer to the platform know alot about curation and how to even make it work out. You can't just delegate steem power to someone cause he contributed alot he has to know the curation mathematics. So I believe they should go through interview or questions should be asked to know they could handle the task.
Like me am yet to get my score on graphics and mbj challenge but you made a reply to the two contest comment and your reply was that surely it would be scored. You just replied my mbj contest 11hrs ago saying it would surely enter the prize book. So I guess am still not in the steemjet force right. I would love to join the force and get scored and the above suggestion I made on how to select should be reviewed.

Nice initiative. I think getting additional curators would really do you some good. You really have much load on you. I'm glad you are getting better now.
Like other communities on Steemit, they have curators who are knowledgeable on how the platform works. You can get Steemjet community members to assist you with the curation burden. A group can be created for these curators to easily interact. There can also be curators for different niches, like some for posts and for comments. The night is dark and full of terrors, the night walkers are coming. We have to act now.

For those that participated on the Steemjet captain audio challenge few months ago, can they or should they participate in this present one..... Why I'm asking is your recent post you listed all that participated initially and stated their flaws also.... By saying the sound was noisy....... But you didn't state any flaw for my sound sir @jesse12, that's why I want to know if I already have a space in the contest, and there's no need of participating on the present one?
I admit that I have not placed all the losers in that contest.
I had it just to hire someone to be the narrator of Olivia and the Superstar.
But when I get the time contest ended and start paying out the winners (the community said I can end it early), then I will be going back and placing the rest of the contestants beasue I want to do some more audio work with the high quality samples. That's the plan. I would recommend people to keep submitting entries for the captain contest because I will at least have my employees judging it for me, In fact, If I get too caught out on time, then I would have the Space Force sort out the low qualit entries (I did not realize that so many people here do not even HAVE a computer, they just use their cell phones, and then that prompted me to look into sending some good recording gear, etc.

the only people I know in real life who own ANY crypto are dead broke and had to sell it for food or are just plain dead. Your post resonated with me so frighteningly so that I am creating Space Force 4 (1500 SP delegated).
You can lead a superstar-filled Space Force 4.
Your job is to find our target audience and nourish them with a steem bath. Our target audience is the same as our target audience for Olivia and the Superstar (broke people/kids/people who don't know what money is because they don't have any/everyone I know in real life/everyone YOU know in real life).

I would like to throw my hat in the ring. Allow me to say that I grew up with NYC newswires, earned a Masters in Aviation (so am good at CRM), have an equivalent of a Minor in Finance, amassed experience and a Bachelor's in (aviation) Administration, and a knack for composing important-points with brevity.
Effectiveness: I like to organize one or two sentence summaries in excel. This allows me to see 50 descriptive items at once with the ability to manipulate (move cells around) this data base.
Keen Judgement: Ever since I was a 13 year old riding the bus through Manhattan rush hour traffic to and from Prep School / Football practice, I have been reading two, three, and four newspapers side-by-side to compare the front page highlights of global and metropolis events. I believe this, and my time frolicking around my local United Nations would be an asset.
Weekly Reports: I can provide two, one like a newswire (or "sticky notes") that would read like words going across the bottom of a TV screen. And another with a brief paragraph for new SteemJet personnel and existing Force members.
Efficiency: Know that you can have me adjust my efforts anyway you would like. I can write technically, creatively, liberally, conservatively, business, concisely, or any other way that maximizes your time and understanding of the community. I was a captain of my football team, head lifeguard, had many different jobs including in Manhattan, Atlantic City, as a fitness trainer, and in a library. It would be me making the effort to ease your SteamJet NewsyWire highlights that free up your time while simultaneously bringing you more information. I am really looking forward to working with you, the SteemJet team, and the community. I had been looking for an active group promoting crypto and blockchains. Imagine my surprise to find such enthusiasm in the people here at SteemJet, as well as, a creative side that is often lacking in the world today; leaving pilots like me feeling distant. While I do not fly often, I am vested in aviation and completed a set of courses that support aerospace operations. This SteemJet experience is as excited as I have been about an online community [military aviators, professionals (like Larrimer), educators, and entrepreneurial pilots] since committing to a sort of international aviation thinktank, all of us working towards Master's degrees
My account is just 88 days old. It is only recently that people I know are beginning to seriously consider moving to this platform. I believe Hivemind will aid in this regard through implementing communities and a more user friendly interface.

Now while I am only fluent in English, I grew up around the United Nation in the NYC metropolis so I have a habit of speaking in a kind-of-thesaurus between cultures and working classes.
Never worry about me going the extra kilometer to elaborate in discourse. I do find 1 in 8 or so get frustrated and even irritated. However, I have never known anyone (who is not of malicious intent) to avoid my efforts to clearly communicate a thought process, comment, or rambling thoughts (like above and a bit here).
Again, never have I given up on communication and my patience grows with every intellectual response.

I've gone through all the post of everyone trying to contribute and give out the best way or the tool for delegating steem power.
However, I've observed something. They're either reading up about delegation and posting how to go about it here - I don't think most of them have tried it out before (you can make mistakes with their tutorials)
So this is where i step in with the simplest tool for delegating steem power - so simple that anyone can use this tool even if you've not delegated before.

That’s shouldn’t be a problem sir, and if I got you correctly then delegating should follow the steps..
I think the question should be, how do they go about upvoting price winners and keeping records. Because the community is large and we keep keeping loads of price winners
For this we could creat sub sections on the Jet and winners are placed in these sections depending on the magnitude of their price.
Then each person from the five spearheads his section and knows who he’s meant to upvote and keeps the records too.
Exactly, this is why I want a report every couple weeks or so wherethe delegate highlights what THEY think I need to see/assess/remedy/etc (problems & solutions & ideas)

Well that method might not exactly give him control over the sp because that's automatically giving the person total control over the sp.. Delegating will give @dimimp complete control over it and he can retract it whenever he sees it fit to do so

No, when delegating you don't have to transfer Steem to the person you only assign a portion of your Steem power to the person. With delegation, the individual cannot walk away with the Steempower, cannot power it down, cannot sell it or withdraw and the owner can take off the sp within minutes if so desire.

I think first of all we have to go through all of the posts and then make a discord channel where the 4 can discuss whome they should upvote, they can divide their work, first 300 comments to one and the next to another and so on, same happens with the steemjet tagged posts, then they should pick the best designs and discuss who is worthy and after that the cream can come up, hope this is right @dimimp

yeah, things would go real much faster if there are delegations of steem power because the rate of only one person upvoting so many people is very slow.. But with the delegation it would be faster and stress free as the load of one person is shared to others.. The earlier it is done the better as more contests are coming up as we try to move forward because this issue actually slows our jet down, from my experience as i took half of my payment in liquid steem, requesting for the rest in upvotes and since then i have received no upvotes which made me change my mind to say i want the rest in liquid steem. So I believe this delegation woukd help a lot

Am new to steemjet. Done just one logo and am just about a month old on steemit. I would like to volunteer and know my driving force to steemint is the job of being a Curator for the Steemjet community. I know this act may seem invalid because am a newbie here but i feel i might get lucky to be treated equally with others by @dimimp. I want to dedicate my days on steemit to working for this community in any way i can be of help. Kindly consider this act of mine. Thanks @dimimp
Coming to think of delegations and volunteers, everybody here would obviously want to be a volunteer so i guess the list has to be broken down either by means of a criteria or probably suggestions and votings. I dont think i have a say here yet because I am still very new here I only proposed a logo for the "time is money concept" and it hasn't been seen by you. Well i will drop it again lol. I hope you get good , loyal and humble people to delegate power to.

I can easily relate with you, cause you are doing a job that is supposed to be divided amongst people. And it isnt an easy task. I once suggested we create our own space force discord channel which would by all means make things more organize and make it easy to pass information to everyone, over there all we have to do is to create different sub channels, and everyone comes under one space jet, moving together in one direction, right now we are scattered, once we have a discord server it becomes easy to greet new comers. Everyone has a job to do, we would delegate different people to different task. I undertook classes to become curies curator previously that was even more tasking. Cause you look for good contents to curate. But here the four volunteers all they need to do, is respond to people's issues on the steemjet space force, post on behalf of steemjet. And even communicate. All this can be easily achieved on the discord server. I would like to work for you @dimimp. We already have tons of logos we use one of them for the discord server and even air live shows making steemjet more interesting than it is here right now...
I will be priviledged to work in this space force as one of the four captains sir.
I want to be the one to greet the new comers and make them feel at home, and get noticed acquaint them with what steemjet is all about.
I want to be the one to create the discord server. I believe in delegation, when there is division of labour, specialiazation, a job becomes really easy to handle. Indeed it becomes more organized. When one person is not too strong health wise. It reduces the burden when we are 4 instead of 1. Four heads is better than one. When I was in Primary School, I learnt about Division of Labour, and with the help of different illustrations, I was made to know that this concept is really effective and helps in the rapid development of any Organisation or Community.
@dimimp, Your Idea of delegating SP to some eligible and responsible members of the Steemjet Community is #Genius and I agree totally with you because it will help relief you off some tasks which is important in order for you to maintain a perfect health condition and also help in the effective development of the steemjet community.
